CASINOSHas anyone stayed or spent any time in Primm? Any advice on hotels or shopping? We're stopping there for the night on the way to vegas.
I've stayed there a few times, usually as a couple of day stayover when running between LA, Laughlin and LV. Stayed in Buffalo Bills, the last time I was there the hotel seems to have taken on a very strong Latino theme, did not find it a problem, definitely it was fine for a couple of days. Complimentary rail shuttle between the three casinos, the shopping mall is as good as the North and South ones in Vegas, rooms are ok nothing special but clean. The poker room was not open the last time I was there and the one in the Primm valley (just a couple of tables at the end of the row of BJ tables). As I said full of Latinos and Californians, seemed a lot of people on day trips by coach from LA. did struggle to get leate food in the hotels without going into full blown restaurants but plenty of fast food outlets including Dennys in BB's. Whisky Pete's seems like a lot of the blue rinse brigade, with a Maccy D's and a fairly decent cafe (with a keno runner). Primm Valley seems to be the supposed up market one of the 3, never stayed there but a short walk under cover into the mall, shame all the Bonny & Clyde stuff has gone.
Decent sports books in BB's and PV, match days cheap dogs and beer in PV.
To summarise, I can say I did it, but would prefer Laughlin if staying ouside Vegas.0 -

AFAIK the hotels are part of the Terribles chain.....Terribles in Vegas almost all their clientele seemed to be "visually challenged" in some way.....eg limps, asymmetrical faces, wonky eyes, porkers......Im not saying Im good looking by any means, but compared to that lot......also most of them seemed "foreign" in some way.
Best thing about Primm is the Hollister Outlet in the Mall, esp if you have teenagers or can fit into their tiny clothes. its also not loud and dark as a normal Hollister is.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

our hotels of choice would be Paris & Cosmo but I didnt think we would be able to get them within our budget. My only concern was Paris luxury room looks a bit dated but I could justify the extra £200 for a red room. Also just checked the t&c for cancellation etc & found it charges:
2. Accommodation cancellation policy, unless otherwise stated on your booking confirmation:
Greater than 7 days prior to departure: £30 (40 €) per person plus any credit card fees
absorbed by www.lowcostUSA.co.uk at time of booking (normally 2%). 7 - 0 days prior to departure: 100%
I will mull it over but these are defo my hotels of choice!! Thanks so much Gill :-)
If you book the Cosmo on Marriott.com and use their best rate guarantee they will knock it down to the cheap price and take a further 25% off. It was very simple to do. Just find the cheapest price, book on Marriott.com and fill in the form. They'll get back to you within 24 hours. Any problems and it's free to cancel!
The cheapest site i found for the Cosmo was http://www.virginatlantictravelplus.com/
I have got a Wraparound suite for 5 nights in May over a weekend for £610.0 -

I I've seen this on another forum and am looking into it for a few nights on our next trip. I'm assuming that the https://www.virginatlantictravelplus.com comes out in GBP, what exchange rate did they use?0 -

Of course they can, have you checked the start of the thread for a guide to such money saving vouchers, also you will get loads when you are out there? Are there any in particular you are talking about?0 -
I have just booked my first ever trip to Vegas, cannot wait, staying at the Vdara which doesn't have a casino (hopefully means it's less noisy), has anyone stayed here before?0

Order the American Casino Guide from Amazon. Under £11 and loads of vouchers. Pretty much guaranteed to make your money back on it even if you only use 2 vouchers.
try https://www.restaurant.com for loads of money off vouchers (read the T&C's first, some have minimum spend)
Vouchers for food places at PH http://www.destinationcoupons.com/Nevada/Las_Vegas/las-vegas-restaurants.asp
Visit Tix4Tonight booths once you're out there for cheap tickets to shows. If you're planning on seeing a really big show it might be worth booking here before you go.0 -
I just noticed that First Food and Bar at The Palazzo has been added to Restuarant.Com http://www.restaurant.com/rdc/first-food-and-bar-las-vegas-american-restaurant-rid=457859?&mcn=00162483
This was on our list of places to try in April so a wee bonus that we can save some money! There is also no alcohol restrictions on their vouchers and their cocktails look too good!!
picked up a $50 voucher, can't see any difficulty in spending over $100 with all those cocktails
Using the promo TRIP i got it for $6.0
