Well I've been good again today and got straight into my crafting as soon as the kids had gone to school. I knew exactly what I was going do and this seemed to help me focus my mind. I managed to get a further 50 thank you cards done for the wedding shop order so that list is very slowly going down.
    Currently made:-

3 cards (2 large & 1 std - for two orders to be collected this week)
100 thank you cards (for wedding shop order)

Total Items made w/c 25th March 103 - YIPPEEE MADE MY TARGET - NEW TARGET 150 ITEMS for this week - only another 47 to go!!!

The "to do list" is STILL very long!!!!

You have done brilliantly this week CM, and doing well not buying

I have made a start on assembling the wedding invite order, just the inserts to do. I try not to buy much, well only stuff from SU my excuse is that I need to have it to demo/make things to show customers and there is a new mini catty coming out soon & the pre order starts tomorrow but I have sold some of my older stamps and things to help pay for it. x

    Hi CM

I'm a bit of a lurker on your thread, I used to lurk on your old one too :D I'm embarrassed to say that I've de-lurked to ask you a question I thought you might be able to help me with :o

I'm not a crafter myself but I have an amazingly creative and accomplished mother. The thing she is into at the moment is beading and unsuprisingly in view of all the things she can turn her hand to she is very good at it! She has just finished a pair of beautiful little bells with pretty fluted edges and they've even got tiny clangers in too even though the full thing is probably smaller than a thimble. Anyway, she is using very very slim needles and is struggling to thread them, I don't think it's anything to do with her age or eyesight just the fact that the hole is just too darn tiny (ooh, just made a needlework joke!)

Would you be able to make a recommendation for an automatic needle threader please? I've had a look on ebay and there are few different types but I don't know if they are any good or which sites I could use to look for good ones?

    Regards

    Hi abouttimetoo,

Its nice to hear from you - theres nothing wrong with lurking - i do it on several threads!!! But iut is nice to know that I'm not just rambling to myself!!!

Unfortunately I have never used an automatic needle threader so cannot personaly recommend. I am seeing my friend on Weds (who happens to be a textiles graduate and teacher!) so will ask her for her opinion and let you know.

Sorry I can't be any more help at the minute but please keep posting as its lovely to hear from anyone (and makes my thread much more interesting as nobody wants to hear from me all the time!!!)

    Happy crafting xxx

    Hi everyone,

Well these last couple of weeks seem to have been manic for me so hopefully things will calm down soon and I will get a bit more crafting done now that my visitors are leaving today.:)

I did manage to have a stall at a craft fair yesterday (it was a last minute decsion to attend) and I managed to take £114 after stall costs so that's made me feel good. :j

It does however mean that I now have even more things to make before the big craft fair at the end of the month - plus the wedding shop order to finish & the 50 cards order for my friends school!!!!

Oh well its a good job I love crafting xxxx

    Hello everyone,

As all my regulars now, I've got a big craft fair coming up in 9 days time and an order for a wedding shop to fulfil so I've got loads to make really quickly and really have to put my bottom in gear to get it done!!!:o

I've worked out I've got 825 items to make in the next 9 days:eek:

These are lots of different things including magnets, invitations, notelet sets (4 in a set but have classed each set as 1 - oh no that makes it even worse!!!!!), badges, felt decorations, hair accessories etc.

Some don't take long to make and others take a good few hours per items, so what better motivation that to post on here and have you lot keep giving me kicks when I need them - please ;)

OK I'm off to start a mammoth craft session (actually I also promised the kids I'd take them rollerskating today so it won't be that big until they are safely tucked up in bed tonight!!!!

I feel several late nights coming on!!!!!!

Good news though - I've still not bought anything else craftwise for the last few days xxxxxx

Craftingmad, been following your thread and really impressed with all your hard work. Would be lovely to see a pic of some of the things you make. Would inspire me to use some of the 3 boxes of craft bits filling my spare room.

Also, will you not need to buy more stock to replace the 800+ items?
