Made 503/825 - Still to make 322 - Days Left 32!!!!
Well I think it is going to be an impossible task to finish everything in time now but I have got a good amount of stock and 200 of the items were for the wedding shop order which technically is not need until after the big craft fair so can I have an extension of time for these? Pretty please xxxx

A very impressive list - particularly to someone like me who can't make anything except a mess :rotfl:0

Morning everyone and a special hello to DawnW,
I too am very good at making a mess - ask my hubby. The house is looking particulary impressive at the minute after all my crafting sessions. I always say creative people are untidy so I bet you will be able to turn your hand to it too xxxx
Well I've woken up to a beautiful sunny day (at the moment) and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will stay like it all weekend. I don't feel like being in a marquee for the whole two days whilst there is a storm outside!!!
Think I had another good day yesterday getting my head down and getting lots of things off the list.
I manage to make and package on 26th April:-
6 x Coasters
4 x Decorative Clips
10 x Felt Hair Bands
16 x Notepads
14 x Felt Pencil Toppers
2 x Hair Clips
17 x 3D Cards
13 x Mirrors
10x Cards
Total made 26th April - 92:D
My to do list now looks like this
825 Items in 14 days challenge
Made 595/825 - Still to make 230 - Days Left 1!!!!
Well I'm feeling a little bit better than yesterday as I had a trial run yesterday setting things out and even if I don't get around to making anymore things, I have enough to fill my 8ft stall so now I just have to hope that people will buy some things xxxx

I am nearly finished the wedding invites that I am doing they are getting picked up on Monday, just the order of service to do
The craft exhibition has been postponed but I am really going to get motivated to start a crop with the view to doing classes, there is a new starter kit offer so I hope that will be good

Morning all,
Well the bad news is that I did'nt manage to get the last few items made before the craft fair. The good news (if you can call it that!) is that I did'nt need them. I hardly sold anything all weekend because the field where the event took place was knee high with mud and the rain did'nt stop all weekend!!!!
Now get ready to be impressed with this figure - I sold £186 over the two days. That means that after taking the stall cost, travel expenses, materials, time etc into consideration I made the grand total of -£25 per hour - wahoooooo!!!!!!
I am a total failure - on the plus side I don't think I need to make anything for my stall for quite a while so I will eb able to focus on starting on some pressies ready for christmas.

Oh Craftingmad, I feel for you!! But it sounds like you did well to sell as much as you did considering the weather and the state of the field - I can't imagine many people turned out.
As you say though, the silver lining is that you've now got some time to focus on more personal projects, whilst having a ready-made stall.
Enjoy the chance to relax today after the marathon of the last couple of weeks!

Hi everyone,
Thank you themadvix for your kind words. I really needed them as I was feeling very down after the diasterous weekend I had so they are very much appreciated.
Well I've had a couple of days off and made a scrapbook page in this time (felt I needed to make something for pleasure and not have to rush and this was just teh ticket!!).
I've got to finish off the wedding shop order over the next couple of days so that will keep me busy up until the weekend.
I also need to replenish my local shop who sells my items on a sale or return basis and the good news is that a friend of mine has been asked by a friend of hers if she can stock my items in her gift shop which she is opening in the next large village along so that's helped to restore my confidence in my abilities a bit more too.
My Hubby is off to Australia on Friday to work for three weeks so am looking forward to the evenings when I can craft away to my hearts content without getting shouted at for leaving a trail of stash all around the house!!!!

So sorry to hear about your awful weekend, but it sounds like it was completely beyond your control and you did well to make as much as you did.

Well so much for getting loads of craft done. Since hubby left on Friday I just have'nt had the inclination to do anything!!! The kids and I are really missing him. I think it really hit home when he phoned from Hong Kong after 24 hours and we knew he was only just over half way to his destination!!!!
However, from tomorrow for two nights I really need something to take my mind off things as my 8 year old is off on her first residential trip with school (two whole nights away from my baby - how will I cope - she will be fine and absolutely love it at least!!!!), so I have decided to try and sort out my mountain of crafting stash which is finding its way into our dining room.
This is actually gonna take a lot longer than two days but at least I can make a start.
I am also gonna set myself a challenge (cos it seems this is the only way to motivate me at the mo!!!).
I know that a lot of the bits and bobs in this space are scraps from previous projects so I am going to challenge myself to see how many things I can make from them.
Hopefully I will be able to use a few bits to turn into presents to give come crimbo (as that target does not seem to be deminishing very quickly!)
Well happy crafting. I'll try and check in nightly to let you know how I'm getting on xxxMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020
