    Morning all,

Thank you again for your words of encouragement. It's really helping me to stay motivated.

lizzylouz - its lovely to have you on my thread. The ideas just seem to pop into my head or I use blogs and galleries on sites to get inspiration and then adapt it. I use templates too as well xxx

Well time for my update for yesterday. As you know I was without electricity for most of the day so I was limited as to what I could make (as I could'nt use my computer, laminator, sewing machine, printer etc).

I managed to make and package on 20th April:-

    10 x Cards

    1 x Felt Owl

    1 x Felt Mirror

    Total made 19th March - 12

my to do list now looks like this

825 Items in 14 days challenge

    Made 304/825 - Still to make 521 - Days Left 7!!!!!

Now I know that it looks like I did'nt get a lot done yesterday but I did actually get lots of prep done for decorative pics and more felt owls so today should be a good day.

On the otherhand I got a nice surprise yesterday as well though as my hubby, who was supposed to be away until late Weds has come home for the weekend so we have decided to have a nice family day with the kids today so who knows how much crafting I will actually get done today xxxx

    Happy crafting everyone xxxx

  • I've just found your posts, I have no idea how you manage to make so many things. They all sound lovely too. I would love to try making some money from crafting but only really do knitting and it takes so long to make anything I always end up keeping things for myself!

I would love to be able to come up with my own ideas for things but it never really turns out as planned. Will keep following your posts though...I may be inspired to try my hand at something new :)

Quick update from me today as I am sooooooo behind!!!!

I managed to make and package on 23rd April:-

    32 x Felt Keyrings

    Total made 23rd March - 32

my to do list now looks like this

825 Items in 14 days challenge

    Made 400/825 - Still to make 425 - Days Left 4!!!!!

I was up most of the night with my little man as he has a stinking cold and hacking cough so I don't think he will be going to school today (seeing as its chucking it down here and his lovely school leave them outside playing at breaks and lunchtimes in it!!!!). This might well be another reason to slow me down today but my family will always come first xxx:)

I am setting myself targets and I love the idea of a morning, afternoon and evening targets as I think this will really help me. The only trouble is I can't seem to meet my targets!!! - Yesterday's was 75 - oh well!!!!!

It's difficult when family and work are at odds, but as you say - family is the most important.

Sending lots of empathy on the cold and not sleeping LO - I have one of those too!

Keep at it - every thing made is another step forward :j

    Morning,

This morning I have woken up with a feeling of absolute dread. Not about getting all the things made in time (although I am getting a worried about that too) but about the fair being an absolute disaster!!! The stall was really expensive at £235 for two days  and I'm now really worried that I wont make that figure back yet alone make any money!!!!

Hopefully it will be ok and as my hubby always says you have to speculate to accumolate. Hes right behind me anyway on this one (well he has to be as it was his idea in the first place :D)

Anyway the good news is that my little man is feeling a lot better and he managed to sleep all through night so that is brilliant news. He wants to go back to school today so at least I should have the whole day to be able to get lots done.

I did manage to make and package on 24th April:-

    4 x Felt Bookmarks

    10 x 3D cards

    Total made 23rd March - 14

my to do list now looks like this

825 Items in 14 days challenge

    Made 414/825 - Still to make 411 - Days Left 3!!!!!

Wow at least my made total is now larger than my "to make" total :o

I've got a good feeling about today. I'm gonna set a target of 75 items again for today and just hope that I make it.

Thank you all so much for your encouragement. It is making this all seem a bit less daunting xx

Well better go - kids breakfast is calling (actually they are calling with "I'm hungry - but thats mainly what they say all day anyway!!!)

    Happy crafting xx

    Hi Craftingmad,

Just thought I'd delurk to say how impressed I am at your motivation and ability to set huge targets without being fazed by them. I've been checking in every day to see how you're getting on! I'm sure you'll get there though!

Don't worry about the cost of the stand - from what you've said about previous fairs, you will do well and you're right about speculating to accumulate.

    Good luck!
