Hello all,
Well I don't feel like I made much progress yesterday on the crafting front although I did make some really quick mini cards so that's a bit more to add to the total.
I did however get two mystery shops done so that will be another £30 for the fund in April (when they should pay out) and I also heard from my friend who asked for the basket of cards for her school collegues. She says that she thinks about half have sold already (and she only took themn in yesterday!) so shes bringing the money she has got so far to me later this evening. I can't wait to see how much I've got.
I'll be back later with my crafting challenge update.

Handmade Item For Week Challenge Update:-
Monday 20th Feb - 4 cards made
Tuesday 21st Feb - 24 coasters made
Wed 22nd Feb - 31 mini cards made
Thurs 23rd Feb - absolutely nothing made apart from a mess!!
TOTAL ITEMS FOR WEEK - 59
Plus I got the money from the sale of cards mentioned in my last post - I can't believe it - my friend came back with only 6 cards left in the basket and a massive £34 from sales for me - wow. Plus the even better news is that they want even more cards mainly on female and kids birthdays themes (which are the ones I like making best). I still can't beleive how much bthey liked my cards - 34 cards sold in just 1 day - wow again.
Well I'm off again to start crafting more cards and things for craft fairs - I can now as I have just had to have a massive tidy up in my craft room as I could'nt find the floor or computer!!!)

Hi craftingmad
Forgive me for hijacking your mortgage thread ... but I need a bit of help!
I have to sort out all the clippings I got from my 2 week journo placement and want to mount the copy and the printed article on black card and then laminate.
Just one thing... what's the best thing to use to fix stuff in place?
Is there a better way of doing something arty with clippings (I have to have the ones signed by the editor to prove they were mine, where no by-line was included)...
Sorry again to bug you
Cheers...- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Hi all,
Just a quick post to let you all know that I'm still here but crafting is currently taking over. I'm getting stuff ready for the big craft fair at the end of April, plus have to make 50 cards for friends school (again), working on the large order placed by the wedding company, have an order for 4 large special occassion cards from somebody who works at kids school, have to make "medals" ready for my little un's go kart party at start of April plus topping up stock for forthcoming 3 craft fairs I have in March. Wow now I've written it all down I realise just how much I have to make!!!!
Hudler - you are welcome on my thread anytime and sorry for the delay in replying to you. I would use a good quality double sided tape - I like cutting edge crafts value tape - it comes in super long rolls, different widths, is excellent quality and easy tear and can be laminated without showing through. It is also at a competitive price and they don't charge any postage. Hope this helps xx
Oooh nearly forgot. I think my craft spending ways are beginning to change - I had added Create & Crafts Pick of The Day and Pick of The Week to my basket (what can I say - I'm a sucker for craft cd's!!) and was just about to check out when I thought about how much crafting stash I already have and cancelled my basket - thats means I did not spend £40 - result!!!!
I also attended a craft fair last weekend. There were more stall holders than customers (there wer'nt even that many browsers!) but I did manage to take home £65 after costs so that's a bit more to add to the pot. I've also agreed to deliver some local magazines around mine and the neighbouring village so that giving me an extra £50 for the pot. I'm not going to add this money until I've delivered all 600 of them though - I managed to deliver abou 150 today - only 450 to go!!!
Right got to go and start making thank you cards for the wedding shop order.

Fantastic! The best "job" in the world is to do what you love doing for all your life.
Can you or anyone else on here recommend any online craft forums ? I am a beginner with lots of questions and don't know who best to ask.
ATM I am wondering about papers downloads and images/ toppers off a CD I got off ebay. Do they intend these to be printed onto paper (and what sort and weight would that be?) then stuck onto carstock with some sort of adhesive or glie. Or should they be printed onto card and again, what sort and weight, before sticking to the cardstock? Everyone seems to use ink jet printers but I have a small colour laser that i use for my business.
I'd be grateful for any help solving this
Thanks0 -
Hi morgana,
You can print off things from craft CD's onto anything you can run through your printer. I personally use special decoupage paper meant for printers which I buy from Create and Craft (200 sheets for around £12.00), which gives your image a subtle sheen. But you can use normal paper and then stick it onto card or run card straight threough your printer. Your lucky to have an laser printer - you should get amazing printing xxxxx Hope this helps but I'll be back later if you need any more advice xx
Well I'm still crafting. I'm actually up at this stupid time in the morning preparing for my craft fair today. I done really well yesterday and accordingly needed to stock a few things up for today. I'll be back later with an update on how things went.

Thanks Craftingmad. I'm always up at that time *any*way
I'll try printing on some thin that I have later.
Enjoy your craft fair. I went to a very small local one yesterday to see what others were selling. Decided that I could do that too one day if I wanted to and practiced a lot
A new friend just introduced me to scrapbooking and tho I don't really want to go that way. her geneaology album was gorgeous.
