Hi all,
My name on docrafts is craftingmad just like on here - whats yours?
Those boxes are super cute but now I want that sizzix die!!!!! However it is now day 12 and I still have not spent anything on craft - this really is a record. I even managed to resist the Pick of Day from Create and Craft (and those stamps were just the cutest!! - but as I have never used any of the humphry, popcorn or swalk stamps I have from the same company I managed to resist!!! Maybe a crafter can change their spots (or stripes, patterns, etc, etc!!!)
I did nearly weaken yesterday though - i wanted to use my craft robo but just could'nt find my carrier sheet for it. I hopped on the internet and was just about to buy a set of two when I remember my pledge and decided to try and make one instead. Using my laminater and a sheet of cardboard I then ran it through and applied Stick and Spray to the top to make it tacky and it worked fine. Wow I'm getting so resourceful!!!
I had a good day of crafting yesterday too, making more sampkes ready for my wedding shop meeting. The only downside is that my once tidy craft room is not looking quite so tidy anymore - whoops!!!
Sadly I can't craft all day again today - I am helping at my kids school this morning, so when I get back I'm intending on updating bthe blog with more of my creations and then hopefully gettinga few more samples completed.

Hi all,
I'm still here - sorry been really busy recently so have'nt had much time for updating this thread - but I'm back now!!!!
Glad to hear you've got loads of crafting done lizalloareds - can't wait to see the pics.
I've still been a good girl and only bought a couple of essentials things to finish my samples for the wedding shop I had a meeting with. The meeting went alright I think (they seemed interested in a few things I made) and I am just waiting to hear from them so fingers crossed.
On a plus note I collected my earnings from sales at a local shop I sell items in for Dec/Jan and I got £65.70 so am well happy. This has been transferred into the savings pot along with the previous tenner i made selling some cards to a friend. We've also cashed in an underperforming ISA so another £3240 has been added to the pot this month.
Whilst I was in the city for my meeting on Mon I also called into a couple of shops which had agreed to take my items on a sale or return before Christmas. Both had sold items so I have just raised two invoices - one for 33.84 and one for £38.40 which hopefully should be paid soon so this money can also be added to the pot.
So things are starting to get there slowly. I'm now off to make more items to restock some of the shops and get some stock ready for two craft fairs I have coming up in Feb.

Hi everyone,
Well here I am again - as irregular as a person who eats no bran!!!
Sadly I knew I could not keep up no craft spending and weakened and bought the latest My Craft Studio Pick of the Day from Create & Craft the other day costing £25.48 inc postage - whoooopsss!! At least I have managed to limit my spending though - in times gone by I could have spent that much (and more) everyday!!!
On the plus side though I have managed to craft more items restock both shops in Norwich and my shop in the next village so fingers crossed I'll get some more sales from them soon.
I've also carried out 4 mystery shops (so thats gonna be another £47 added to the kitty once I've been paid for them).
Plus another massive thing for me is that I'm in the process of setting up an online shop (so many people ask me at craft fairs if they can buy online that I thought this would be a good idea). I spent a bit of time reserching it and found a site which allows you to set up an ecommerce site for free so I'm madly tailoring the site to suit my needs. I already owned a domain name so I'm publishling it to this.
Oh and a couple more bits of good news - my friend whos a teacher at a local high school has shown her collegues my cards and they would like a basket in their staff room so they can look and buy them during their breaks - and a local beauty salon just opened near me have asked if I would like to sell a few of my creations in there as well on a sale or return basis so things might be looking up even more.
I'm now madly making cards for the school and a few extra pieces to take to the salon within the bext few days.
I've also booked another 7 craft fairs in for this year to add to the few I already had booked and am still searching around to see if I can find more. Hopefully 2012 is going to be the year I can add a good amount to the pot whilst still doing something I absolutely love xxxx

OK all, once again apologises for my absense - I'm a bit pants at this diary lark!!!!
Well I sooooo want the PIck of The Day on Create and Craft today - all £80 of it!!!! But I've resisted. I've got lots of Promarkers already but I wanted the DVD on colouring tips and you can never have enmough markers!!! Its like shoes only for crafters!!!!
However I had a hunt on the internet and have found loads of FREE coouring tutorials so I have convinced myself that I no I don't need it and promptly deleted it from my Sky+.
My willpower is getting stronger xxxxx
I have also made a massive move this week - I've booked a big craft show stall at a local showground. The stall itself cost a staggering £300 for two days - yikes!!! but I have been recommended it by other crafters and have done my research and the footfall is estimated at 40,000 over the two days - my fingers are so tightly crossed that this will be a good move!!!!
Well as its the school holidays I'm not getting much crafting done - alothough we did sit down yesterday for a lovely day of crafting all together. However with the big show booked for the end of April I'd better get a move on and start making - and quickly if I want to sell to that many people!!!

Good luck to you with the show, hope the investment pays off. Just think about all the lovely things you can buy when you have used up all of your supplies!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0
