Thanks Secret Saving Squirrel - i need all the encouragement I can get at the minute. The big show is scaring me but hey - its done now so fingers crossed it will be successful.
Well I booked another 3 craft fairs yesterday so, so far I now have 25 booked for this year. I also chased the wedding shop I had a meetiong with a few weeks ago but have'nt heard from them yet. My fingers are crossed again that hopefully they will want to stock some of the items from the samples I showed them.
Well its a day to spend with the kids today - think we shall go and watch the Muppets and then maybe a treat for lunch/dinner.
When they are in bed I've got to make some more stock for the fairs - think its gonna be coasters and notepads tonight.

hello crafters,
Well I'm full of cold today and feeling pretty pants but have got so much crafting which needs to be done before my first craft fair and in readiness for the biggie coming up at th end of April.
I managed to get 17 notepads made last night - I'll try and post pictures soon on my blog and/ or on docrafts.
However I now have a panic attack on because I have just remembered that I also need to finish the card basket to give to my friend tomorrow (so that she can take them to work and sell them for me) and I also volunteered my services to the kids school to make 100 mothers day rosettes from old rosettes which had been donated - these need doing by 6th March - yikes!!!!!!
Better go and get cracking I think!!!!

Hi everyone
I stumbled across this thread this morning and have read the whole thing.
I love crafting but don't have the space or money to devote to it. I do make cards occasionally and have a little bit of stash around. A lot of it has been bought in preparation for a major project I have planned.
Instead of buying stash, I sometimes enter competitions to win some. No luck yet but you never know and it would save some money.
Happy crafting0 -
Hi kimbles.
welcome to my little thread. I started with little space and my collection has just grown and grown - so be warned - lol xxxx
Your major project sounds interesting - can I ask what is is or is a secret?

Thanks craftingmad
The project is not a secret but it's a big one.
I went travelling around Europe last summer for just over three months and my plan was always to scrapbook it when it was done.
So far I have the photos printed, just got to find the space to do it plus I imagine I will need a LOT more of the basics - card paper etc.
I even had stuff prepared for it in new Zealand before I moved over here so hopefully when I go home at xmas time I can bring some of it back. (I didn't always intend to stay here this long but life got in the way -as it tends to do)
Anyway, I cant wait to get started but as well as the trip home at Xmas, bf and I are saving every last penny for a house deposit for later in the year so the crafting is on the back burner for the time being0 -
Wow kimbles, that must have been an amazing experience. You have to scrapbook it just to keep the memories and experience alive. Good luck with it. I have surprised myself recently with what I can achieve using just basics like cardstock, patterned papers etc. Why not give a page a go - you can always add extra embellihments to it at a later date?
I'm sure you will get back to New Zealand again soon but think how wonderful it will be having your own house in the future (and think how much space you will then have to craft!!!) Lol xxx
Well I have finally finished my basket of cards for my friend to take into her work today. I shall be delivering them to her tomorrow evening so hopefully I might sell most of the 40 I made (well I'm trying to be optomistic - and praying that it will add another £40 to the pot from me!).
And I had another bit of good news today - I have a further appointment with the wedding shop to discuss their requirements and place an order after seeing my samples I providede for them so hopefully, although they will initially be on a sale or return basis, this should add a bit more for the pot in the future.
I've decided to give myself a bit of a challenge this week (as my hubby is working away) and see just how many things I can make whilst he is gone. I think I'm gonna focus on items for craft fairs / shops and the school mothers day fair at the moment as these are needed quicker than any presents that I need to make.
So I'll start the list now:-
Monday 20th Feb - 4 cards made
Well everyone has to start somewhere!!!
