Hi all,
I'm having a hard time keeping up with this board now I'm back at work, so sorry if I've missed anything!
Well done to everyone who has been making payments, even £1 helps
My loan replayment has gone out and I've paid another chunk off the CC so my new total is

Can't wait to hit that £1000 mark, hurry up January payday (25th)!!
Good news as well, my second job (taking notes from lectures for students with disabilties) has given me enough hours that I shoudl earn an extra £400 by the end of term (March) so I can clear the OD by then :j:j:j
Off to sort through my wardrobe and the spare room for things to sell now :rotfl:

Too right, there's absolutely no point trying to give up smoking and lose weight at the same time. As I'm sure you well know, smoking is an appetite suppressant, so it's absolutely normal to gain a little weight when you stop smoking, so stressing about weight is pointless. And, to be hones,t a few extra pounds of weight are much less harmful than the fags are.
So, good luck! I've been cigarette free for 12 years now and it's one of my proudest achievements, probably the toughest thing I've ever done, but so, so worth it.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -

Mf0u,
I know the feeling I went to bed at 9 then got rudely woken up 10 minutes by the phone and didn't sleep till 2! Hope your tonsils are feeling better.
I think with everything going on you are more then allowed to feel fed up at everything. Well done on the weight loss. Fitness pal is great for giving you that boost when you need it. It becomes as addictive as this thread.
Really to sum it all up, thank you for keeping us on track and devoting so much time and effort. Its great seeing every being really inspirational debt busting and it sounds like you have sometimes more then enough on your plate.
So personally I would like to say thank you for this thread and all the effort you put in. Its hugely inspirational and gives me a massive boost even on my down days.
Having just done my Spending diary I have the grand total of £71.03 to my name but I know this is mine. Now waiting for more to come in and more debt busting can begin.
Once again a massive thanks
:A You're more than welcome camuk81. I think this thread is the only thing keeping me sane sometimes!!! I know that what has been spurring me on when I would've normally slinked back to my old ways is knowing that you are all with me and i couldn't dissappoint you. I never truly understood how powerful support is until I saw a really great offer on a laptop. Mine is really on its last legs but I promised myself that I was going to wait until I was completely debt free until I bought one in the sales with my own money that I'd saved. I saw this offer though and nearly caved... But you were all with me asking if I REALLY needed it. So I put it back! That makes Xmas 2012ers 1, PC World 0!!!
p.s. the function key has just gone weird on my laptop and the right hand side letters are all now numbers so I'm having to hold down the function button to type each letter... :rotfl:
Anyway, just want to thank you (all) for being so understanding if I disappear for a few days, it really means a lot xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I'm in the same boat, no new laptop until I'm debt free... I no longer have a spacebar just a rubber nobbley bit haha been like that for 3years now. At one point the power point was smoking, so just bought a new lead and it stopped

Couldn't have said it any better myself!!! I think that dealing with your debt and quitting smoking are 2 of the most important things you can do and I know we are all VERY proud of you for doing so well with them both. I've never smoked so I cannot speak from personal experience but I have seen many people quit smoking and it can be tough but you can do it. We are all with you 100% of the way. :A xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
