    Hi all

Sorry I've not been on in a while! I don't have the totals to update you all yet but I will do them over the weekend! Glad to see you are all doing so well!! :T

To help debt-busting (and also live longer) I've stopped smoking! I'm on my 6th day and have saved approx £45 so far! It's still early days so I'm keeping the money in a jar until I feel strong enough to pay it to the debt!

Good luck with the debt busting! I will post the totals soon

Can you lot stop me eating pizza please? :( off topic, sorry !

I had pizza too - now feeling rubbish! For one thing I spent £2 buying it (bargain at Mr T) but it certainly isn't going to help me lose and of the flab pounds I need to shift!

Going to make my shopping list very healthy for tomorrow's shop....

Looks even worse than I thought it did - we've given ourselves 2 years to pay it off so if I can do it sooner it will be a huge bonus! Off to look for some challenges now.

I'd like to join if that's ok :) We have £1,613.76 to pay off, so that should definitely be doable this year. And then we can start saving to buy our first house :D

I would pay off the remaining £2k off the interest card as the interest you pay will be less each month

thanks for the tip, that's what my husband says too - so i guess he must be right (for a change) lol :)
  • Well done to every one - its great to see all this positive debt busting going on :j
I have kept well to my budget despite £42.50 on new tyre (saved petrol as I couldn't drive for 5 days). Only spent £ 12. 39 on food - this should last to Tuesday at least. Have had a cheque from Music Magpie for £28.04 and when I get money from Zapper I will have made £58 this month.
I am saving lots of time & effort by having cereal at work for lunch - doubles up as a dieting tool. ;)

  • Hi everyone, I'm new to the board so I hope you don't mind me jumping in.
We currently have around £7500 in debts and I really want to clear these by Christmas this year. It causes me sleepless nights and I really believe I could do with the support. I have so many letters that I just don't open any more :embarasse, I will go through them all this week and find out the exact figure. I am scared to do this.
I've buried my head in the sand for to long. I really have to sort this out.
    Could I please join?

I Know I'm a bit late but can I please join
    I have 4000.00 debt,
and I don't have a pound sign on my computer for some reason.

I have made a start by selling clutter on ebay and selling books on amazon. I've made all my meals this week with food reduced in supermarket at the end of the day and I can't beleive things have got this bad.
I have a problem saying no to people and have tried for a long time to keep up with the joneses so to speak. I'm now 38 coming 39 and this is my year to become debt free (supposed to be getting married next year if I can afford it:eek:).
