Not posted on here for a while, am still trying to get debt free, but got a bit fed up as it seems a bit cliquey on this thread, and only a few people seem to get replies to their posts. I'd posted a number of things and never got any replies, so kinda stopped visiting. i will try to update my totals every month though, folks.

I sometimes don't know what to say so I don't reply but I like reading everyone's posts. I sometimes use the Thanks button instead of replying, I don't think it is anyone's intention to be cliquey but thanks for making us aware.

I'm sure it's not deliberate, but some people are on here a lot and therefore get to know each other more. and then of course they have long "conversations" on here. Which is fine, but if you "interrupt" with a post of your own it often gets ignored (or not noticed). I just found I'd posted a few times about stuff that was quite relevant to my journey on this challenge, and got no reply at all, which made me feel a bit "Oh, right, no-one cares." I'm sure it's not the case, but when you're struggling and this is the only place you feel you can discuss things it makes you feel disheartened I guess.

    That's all.

Recurrent, I'm truly sorry that you've been made to feel this way, it has been in no way intentional I promise you :A. I struggle sometimes to find what to say sometimes to posts where I know nothing about the subjects such as children or mortgages or redundancies or OH's etc other than a few words of empathy. And then of course I have been majorly struggling with the motivation to pay off my debt recently and it's been really bothering me... I've not been saving my change, I've not been looking for the bargains, I've not been buying in bulk...I've just not been able to get my head back in the game and I don't know how to switch it back on. For this reason I've felt very hypocritical and not posted very often. Like Catmort though, I love reading everyones posts everyday, it actually makes smile when I read them and people have paid off money through the good times and despite the bad. Now I'm wondering if other people have felt how you do and that is why the thread has gone so quiet lately... :(

In the spirit of new beginnings then I'm going to create a new thread. We are up to nearly 5000posts on this one anyway and it is the start of a new month, the start of a new quarter of the year and I want us all to have a fresh start together as the lovely caring and supportive friends that we've all become over this tough journey to debt freedom. Please stay Recurrent :A xxx

It's hard sometimes, when I'm reading through posts since my last visit, to remember to comment on everything as sometimes things move quickly :) I did ask ages ago if you worked as a SW consultant? As I've signed up again :o

Well I seem to have failed at everything BUT the no chocolate challenge!!! :rotfl: I've just had my first chocolate since February (not a healthy breakfast I admit!) and I was expecting it to taste unbelievable, you know, like your first taste of ice cold lager on a hot summers day in a beer garden...? Anyway, thoroughly disappointed!

We'll get there with the weightloss Lemon! People have been talking about the C25K (Couch to 5k) so I've been reading up on it. Think I've book myself in for one of the race for lifes in summer and train for that. It's always best to have a goal. Maybe set yourself a mini goal to go walking 3 times a week? Or no chocolate for 1 week on then 1 week off? Or join a zumba class? Or do a bit of gardening or a proper spring clean of the house to get those calories burning??? xxx

I signed up for a race for life in July... you can do 10k now too! If you do want to do C25K can I recommend the free podcasts from the NHS? You can use other ones which use your own music, but I find the podcasts use music to help you, so when you are flagging towards the end, the music pumps you up a bit :)

god the weather's gone rubbish, but we are free from the chicken spots now. I'm not going to be able to debt bust much over Easter, kids off school and i promised them a day out to the zoo.
This thread has gone really quiet lately so i hope everyone is chipping away at those debts in the background.
    Have a great Easter :easter:

50% is a cracking milestone angelbob!!! :T:T:T Glad the chicken spots :rotfl:(love that phrase !) are gone now as it mustn't have been much fun especially when the weather was so freakishly gorgeous. It's a lovely day today though so hopefully you'll all be able to go and play out in the sun. oooooh I haven't been to the zoo in............no idea how long actually! I might have to book a day off (when the kids go back after easter of course!) and go to Chester zoo then maybe to the Blue Aquarium as I love the likkle fishies :D

Excuse my ignorance, I may be only 31 but I'm rubbish with technology to be honest! Is the podcast for your ipod or a smart phone? It's just I still have to wait until end of May to upgrade my phone to a smart phone (think I'm going for the Samsung Galaxy S2 - what do people think?) but I do have my ipod...? xxx
