Lovely to hear from you again CW2 and what a fantastic total! :T:T:T That's 57% excluding the £600 in savings and 62% if you include it! What an amazing achievement given it's only April 1st :beer:lemonpopsicle wrote: »Just checked online and loan payment is showing as gone out so nowNo 069 £3290 / £7719 = 42.62%New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Excuse my ignorance, I may be only 31 but I'm rubbish with technology to be honest! Is the podcast for your ipod or a smart phone? It's just I still have to wait until end of May to upgrade my phone to a smart phone (think I'm going for the Samsung Galaxy S2 - what do people think?) but I do have my ipod...? xxx
I'm sure you can use it on your ipod... you just download it into itunes, so you must be able to then transfer over to ipodBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Must try harder next month
It doesn't matter hun, don't beat yourself up. You are at a fantastic 15% paid off so give yourself a massive pat on the back :T:T:T I view paying off debt as trying to beat an addiction or overeating, it's a bumpy road and we cannot be 100% good 100% of the time, we are human and therefore have peaks and troughs. What makes the difference is acknowledging when you've had a bad time but then picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and trying again. Some of us won't become debt free by Xmas either because they have pledged only part of their total to make that amount achievable or things (life!) has thrown things in people's way (such as redundancies, illnesses etc) that were unplanned. I'm on a knifes-edge as to whether I can make the DFD of Xmas 12, my car cost far more than anticipated this weekend, I can't earn overtime as I'm on a salary and I've got my car insurance to pay in August. I'll probably be trying to sell everything in November (I wonder how much my sisters would go for...? :rotfl:) but if I don't quite make it then that's ok. Paying off 50%, 60%, 70% etc of debt in 1 year is a tremendous achievement and don't forget it! :A XXXSuperheavy wrote: »Keep up the great debt busting work guys...looking forward to see the March totals, I think a lot of people have done really well this month.
Was working earlier on today, and I'm doing some freelance writing now, but have a few cold ones in the fridge for later. I'd bemoan my football team's form today, but I doubt I'd get much sympathy!
Hope you all have a good weekend...and roll on my five days off over the bank holiday!
Freelance writing? What kind hun? Are you doing anything nice over Easter? xxx

Ah recurrant-ostrich
Im sure im one of those people that would be included in the cliquey group as im on here constantly
Its totally unintentional honestly.
Sometimes I read so many posts and forget to multiquote so by the time I get to the end ive forgotten what was written, sometimes I just dont know what to say, and sometimes im so wrapped up in my own journey/feelings I forget other people need a 'boost'
I do thank everyones posts so that they know ive read what they have written as a kind of 'I am listening to you' type of thing, but will try to be more vocal with my support
There may be others that feel a bit ignored(speak up if you do!) I suppose the other problem is that some of us know each other from other threads as well so when you see their name it is a bit like walking past them in the street and the poor new work mate stood next to you gets forgotten while they catch up
I'll admit it used to upset me when people didnt thank my postsmade me feel like no-one was reading them

hmmmmmmm my bl00dy father thinks he's so bl00dy funny sometimes... He's away with my mum for their anniversary and I just got a text to say that they had broken down and could I come and pick them up. I immediately jumped out of bed and started slinging clothes on whilst texting him to find out where he was when I realised that it's April Fools Day... I sent him a few expletives!!!!! :rotfl:trying_hard wrote: »Hi everyone quick update. I have close V*nqu*s & transferred everything to Cap One as the rate is much better. I really wanted to pay the CC off by the end of the year but need to save 3 months wages so I can leave what I am doing now & go back to sessional tutoring.
I will be here next year! Our Debt free date is April 2014 when the DMP finishes but in my head it HAS to be Dec 2013, I can't be in debt after that.... trying to save anything I can to also make F&F offers at the end of the year, as a couple of debts will be down to the £500 mark by then. So hoping to half them.
no 127 payment of £1,192
Thanks Jemma
Definitely a sensible to decision to save 3 months wages if you're leaving your current work and your paid off total is fantastic so you're well on your way to achieving your goal! :T:T:T xxxCanucksfan wrote: »Hi there!
It's lovely to hear all the stories about what you are doing to save money. :j
I didn't work any overtime this week, as two of the children were sick. I am due to go back to work tomorrow and am reluctant to go in, as they are still not quite back to their usual bouncing selves yet and just want to sit and be cuddled. I know DH will care for them just fine...I just want to make sure they continue on the road to recovery.
I thought I was going to be stuggling financially, due to the lack of overtime shifts, but a friend travelling back home to Nova Scotia asked me to come to her place and feed her cat for the ten days she is away. I was a bit reluctant to do it, in case something happened to the kitty while she was away, but then she mentioned the money she wanted to pay us to do it-boy, she must love this cat a lot!;)
Anyhow, so far so good. I take one of the children in to help and play with the cat each day and they ooh and ahh over all the space in the lovely flat-not to mention the electric guitars and all the x-box games (and the beautiful cat!) that this couple have! Maybe I should put an ad out, offering to petsit as a way to raise some money? I would love, love to work for myself...that's my dream for the future :T
Have a good week All! x

Jemma - maybe your chest infection is caused by a virus if the antibiotics aren't working??Canucksfan wrote: »Yes, you should be feeling an improvement now Jemma! Maybe you have been given the wrong antibiotic...My middle child woke up this morning groaning that her tummy hurt and that her head was aching, so I kept her off school. Less than an hour later and she is asking to go to IKEA for lunch. All my years working in hospitals and I still can't tell when one of the children just fancies a day in bed <sigh>. It is kind of nice to snuggle up on the sofa watching cartoons with her!
Well I'm still coughing, although not as bad as before. I think it may be my GORD (Gastro-oesophegal reflux disease) acting up again. I always seem to get it after a chest infection. Basically I just need to cut out....wait for it....... chocolate, fizzy drinks, alchohol, spicy foods, tomato based foods, all fatty foods.... etc... :rotfl: Will be a good reason to kick start my exercise and diet plus it's very MSE to cut most of these things out!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
