Ooh can I join in the weight loss challenge too? Could I do it in kgs though? I don't understand lb!
I just discovered that since I started this eating healthily thing I've lost 4kg! So I figured I might as well try and get down to what I used to be - another 7 kg, so that would have me at

I'm annoyed so rant warning! I moved in with my friend in December as she wanted to get her wife-beating bf to move out, which he did so I could move in. They have since broke up and she's seeing someone new who, even though they've been dating since beginning of December, is now her fiance! I don't mind that. But he's moved his decks into our living room, even though he has a flat of his own and a recording studio (his parents own a record label and he's got the UK part that he manages). Anyway, on Sunday he chirped up that he wants to rearrange our entire living room to accommodate a third deck (there's two at the moment). His idea was some kind of separation of the room into two to segregate it. Both my housemate and I put our foot down to this as the room isn't exactly massive as it is. Anyway, I heard him this evening talking to her saying that he needs to put his third deck in there so he can work. ARGH! He was playing them this afternoon and they were on so loud that I was glad I didn't have any conference calls as it really wouldn't have looked good to sound like I was in a nightclub whilst trying to work. If he puts them on as loud again I'm going to have to have words, and I've not gripe about asking him to turn it down. My main concern is that she quit her job as a stripper because they got engaged so she's now a kept woman and he pays her rent for her (or so I assume as she doesn't have a job and pays for everything else), so what happens if he does move the room round? Should I turn round to her and offer to move out if they take on my half of the contract? I really didn't sign up to living with a couple, let alone an engaged/married one. Plus I'd have to find money for the bond, and decide where I want to move to, then there's the removal costs as the OH is in Canada so I'd need to get a bloke or two to help me move. Eugh, hassle. Rant over.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I think you've got good reason to rant hun, you pay for half that flat and he's marking his territory! Sounds like your friend like the domineering male to be honest. I'd definitely say something though hun if it gets any worse as whilst he may be paying for your friends half of the rent he isn't paying yours so you have equal rights! In fact more than equal as he's not the tenant. How long have you known your friend? Are you really close or just really house buddies?
I can't believe they got engaged so quickly... there are so few cases where it actually works out when people move that fast!

Fritter Princess - or should I say Fitter Princess :rotfl:I saw that Horizons programme on exercise and it was fascinating. Thought about doing it but not sure what to do for the 20 secs as I don't have an exercise bike. What are you doing?
One of my more useful purchases ( when I used to fritter money away!) was an elliptical cross trainer which I bought half price from a certain catalogue store!! I have been doing a jillian michaels dvd for the last few weeks, and although I'm toning and losing inches I decided to increase the cardio work to shift the pounds. So I tend to do 30 mins on the cross trainer and fit in the 20 second bursts during the last few minutes.
I have seen this mentioned before on TV and someone did a light jog and ran flat out for the bursts, and it had the desired effect ( lost a stone in 4 weeks If I remember rightly).

Kerri - nothing worse than when you don't feel comfortable in a place that is meant to be home. Hope you get something sorted soon. On a different note, and this might sound weird, I have tickets to see Piers Morgan Life Stories on Friday... all my friends seem to be working so if you fancy it, let me know. It's at London Studios near Oxo tower.
I had chocolate again today. I feel really guilty about it now! I wasn't going to say it but then thought I should get used to admitting things like that. I am going to join SW tomorrow though, which I know isn't DFW friendly but it's the only way I'm going to get into a healthier eating habit and lose any weight. I think I need to lose about 2.5stone. Eek!
Jakes-mum sorry to hear about DH. If he can do all sorts of bits and pieces, is it worth him trying to build a business outside of his next job? A sort of hire-a-hubby type thing.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
