I'm giving up fizzy drinks :D I drink far too much of them (to the Max ;)) and it's time to stop.

    Cannot wait for payday... xxx

I keep hoping someone will pipe up with a suggestion for some worthy vice that I can give up too so I can avoid the reality of giving up crisps for a month _pale_ I don't eat much chocolate, I don't have fizzy pop very often, I don't smoke, I don't drink much wine or anything. I've tried giving up sugar/sweeteners in my tea before and lasted 2 drinks :rotfl:

Lol I know what you mean Eddi. For me it's fizzy drinks and sweets (I am 10 years old inside) we have a tuck box at work and it's evil.

I don't drink or smoke but I do love my high sugar stuff! There was a time when I thought I was addicted to sugar, I cut out all the sweets and stuff for a week and got ridiculous headaches and mood swings :/ xxx

  • A week on and I haven't touched a drop of booze. It doesn't sound much but its unlike me to go completely dry

I honestly don't miss it that much. However Mrs Lashley has me a bottle of my favourite dark rum as a reward for when I complete lent :)

  • Hi all,

Well I had a great MSE day yesterday. It was DD's birthday & our local leisure centre was holding an open day, so we went down when it opened with DD's friend in tow. 3 kids went swimming for free, DH & I watched with a free coffee each (I downloaded the voucher), then a nice lady came around with free samples of sarnies, wraps & cake so we got some noms too :o

The kids had a great time & one of them found a pound on the floor too :D So, all in all we wemt home a pound up on the day!

Oh and the sun shone all day :D

    Dont drink or smoke
    Dont drink fizzy drinks
Cant give up crisps or choc on doctors orders

The only thing I can think of is to give up nagging for a month, but I think we all know thats not going to happen :rotfl::rotfl:

Hey everyone, you are all sounding really positive! I'm sorry I've not done any updating for a few days but I've been poorly so will do it tonight I promise!

It's my first day back in work today and I really don't want to be here. I have been talking through with my family this weekend and in August/September I'm going to start writing my business plan for setting up my own company with a view to leave work at the beginning of 2013 once I have no debts. I'm going to concentrate in the next 6 months on debtbusting/weightbusting and then doing as much research as possible so I'm all set to go. I'm quite excited about it and it's nice to know that I'm only going to be here for another 9-10 months...! But shhhhhhh don't tell anyone yet...

Have a lovely day everyone and I'll be able to tell you the Feb month total after Wednesday which is also my payday so I get to contribute to this one!!!

    xxx

Oooh, exciting. What will you do? x

  • Afternoon all! I've done a bit of an audit of my expenses, and managed to trim my monthly outgoings by £80.56 (or £805.60 for the rest of 2012!) I've cancelled...

Credit Expert - £14.99/month (No need, I'm not applying for credit soon)
Graze - £15.12/month (I get them and eat them in one go, so no point!)
Gym - £28.00/month (I'm training for a half marathon - streets, not treadmills)
Football club's website - £4.29/month (not using it)
Lovefilm - £8.16/month (sad, but ultimately unnecessary)
Spotify - £10.00/month (the hardest one, but there are ways to get music while I'm debt busting)

eBay marathon coming soon, after I've cleaned my house. I'm enjoying streamlining my life at the moment!

    Well done Pedro!

Sounds like a few tough calls in there but it will be worth it. Only 10 months 'til we are debt free and you can have your music and movies back ;)
