Feeling quite lucky mine can turn his hand to most things. Though he doesn't like electrics!
Plus and minus today. I did the shop then realised I hadn't seen my work visa since mid week. Bit of a panic and it turns out I've left it in a shop around 100 miles from my house. Thankfully going there tomorrow so can pick it up so don't have to fork out for fuel on my personal card. Might just get there I hope!
Came home and worked out how much dinner and shopping had cost and realised my set budget was blown and stressed
Lucky husband offered to pay childcare of £80 this week so thats £80 back to the budget.
Then I looked at my monthly subscription and went stupid and paid a monthly into a year subscription and stuck onto a visa! Yes stupid move however its on and it means no more budgeting for that £18.95 a month.
On the other hand hand fully paid member for the next 12 months so if any one wants to do their family tree please feel free to shout!0 -
No it didnt ruin it for us at all just went on & enjoyed our day.
It is totally doin my head in now tho just feel the punishment was nothing really!!!
Nowt I can do about it anyway so no point dwelling on it really

Big hugs to everyone who needs them today:grouphug:. Getting rid of the debts was never going to be a short term thing and it gets tough sometimes but at least we feel supported on this thread
.
Kerri - your uni friends are not worth it - you're much too nice for them. Any people who turn on you for just one comment are not real friends.
On another note, I picked up lots of things I liked the look of in Decathalon when taking my son there to spend his money but managed to put them all back except for £3.99 ski glove liners which I intended to buy anyway. The horror of reporting back about unnecessary things bought was just too much for me :rotfl:.Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Blimey guys, have only read this page but sometimes you have to wonder why people have to make it so tough for us!
I had just written a whole paragraph about friendship (in a half a bottle of red wine kind of way) but let's just say that if you come away feeling bad about yourself, they ain't friends.
I really hope that none of us feel a failure if we end the year with some debt remaining. There are some amazing repayments already, I think we all need a huge pat on the back and group hug!!:A:grouphug:

Feeling pretty low about this all this morning - tried to work out on a spreadsheet how the snowballing will help and I still don't think I'll make Xmas even if I do it religiously. I think I'll get 65% of the way there but thats a bit disappointing.
Well NCT, I'm having a downer myself, just been looking at my spreadsheet and very chewed how much I've spent so far. Fours days in and I'm not going to reach my target I had set myself this month.
We all have these days. Even those who seem to be racing ahead! Just though of a plan B then gone back then another plan, then gone back. Right now - Haven't the foggiest! Bit fed up with all this debt busting tonight! Gone and applied for the 1 0% card left to me in the market, waiting for more checks so I'm guessing thats a no as I would have liked to have saved a bit of interest!
Feeling very guilty today as husband as bought stuff for the house which I can't afford to! So all in all very cheesed off! Night all off to sleep off this bad attitude I've picked up!0 -
Hi All,
Sounds like we will all be glad to see the back of February next week! Having said that, it is not all doom and gloom. The totals of money paid back to the cc's is INCREDIBLE-thanks for keeping us updated Jemma and Pedro!
Camuk and NCT, hang in there - Spring is just around the corner and hopefully some warmer weather too! Your money saving so far has been fab!
J-M hope you feel better after letting off steam. You make saving money look so easy and effortless...it is not surprising that every now and again you have to take a breather. If you still feel you need to knock some sense into your Man, I saw some titanium frying pans at the Home Show I went to last week. It was so heavy I could barely pick it up using TWO hands. It would be just the right size to cause maximum impact to DH's head! It was just the COST of it that stopped me buying it...for now!
The kids were their usual, bouncy Tigger-ish selves when I got home from work. DH a bit quiet and sheepish but otherwise ok after yesterday.
This evening I have been reading through the MSE Debtfree Roll of Honour. I can recommend it - v v inspiring! Count me in for the choc-free March...ouch!'You've got to tell your money what to do or it will leave!' Dave Ramsey0 -

See I just made a rod for my own back :rotfl: Such a control freak I do all the debt busting and all he has to do is listen to me periodically throwing %'s at him and then listening to my meltdowns!
Frying pan sounds good, need a nice thick heavy one as hes got a really thick skullHe's all smiles at the minute as C0-op have 4 packs of mars bars for £1 and he's been buying them from the garage while on the road for 80p each :eek: So I bought 2 packs and am off back today for another 10  (thank you 2nd purse
). Also thinking of seeing if the caramel/flakes are still on £1 and buying some and selling them to the kids for 40p each :rotfl: or is that taking debt busting too far :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
