Well done Ruby,
Sorry I've been AWOL, new job means I get up at 5.30 each morning and by the time I get home I catch up but forget to post as I'm soooo tired. Working from home most of this week though, so unlike last week where I ate lunch out each day, I can have my beanie toasties
Just had a horrid morning with OH talking about marriage, he doesn't ever want to get married so I have finally ended up telling him the only compromise is for me to never want o marry him then, otherwise the conversation will keep coming up. I feel quite upset about this, but brave face n thatjust needed to tell someone.
Debt wise I've paid £13 to lloyds, but old work haven't paid me what I thought so I'm missing moneyhope new work payme on Wednesday otherwise I'll just pay my £90 to wescott and won't clear lloyds until end of march. It's all 0% so doesn't matter too much, but im still disappointed that I can't get down to 1 remaining creditor yet
Not the happiest update from me, so I'm going to go find cake!
If anyone loves muesli, I highly recommend Suma Tropical Luxury muesli, 3kg for £7.76 or something like that, excellent tasty muesli which is organic, fair trade and FULL of fruit mmm mmm mmm
Hey Kerri! Good to hear from you, even if things are a bit rubbish with the OH. It's good to vent sometimesEnjoy your cake, keep up the good work on the debt front... and keep your chin up!

Chin up kerri, sounds like though exhausting the job is going well.
As regards marriage I got together with my husband in 2003 and it took till 2009 to get there
Similar time scale here - me & OH got together in 2004, didn't get engaged until last February and getting wed this OctoberThink it takes men longer to realise when they're onto a good thing :rotfl:
So I went out for my nice quiet relaxed sushi & Muppets evening - ended up being out til half 2 in the morning  the worked this morning! I spent much more than I should have - but all out of my "spending money" for the month, will just reduce the pot for the remaining 34 days of the month :rotfl:
Could do with sorting ebay bits today but my hangover is not helping me feel very productive...0 -

So although I have only really paid off about £400 of my CC, I have really made a difference of about £1100, which I am so proud of. Hopefully next month I'll end up in credit, so can make more frequent payments.
Good luck everyone and keep going!!!
You've done so well to knock it down by so much so quickly - I included my overdraft in my debt total just to remind myself I did NEED to pay it back and stop pretending my balance was always supposed to have a big D at the side of it and a minus sign0 -
Hi Ruby,
You really deserved a good night out to let your hair down. As long as it doesn't put you back in debt then it is all good!
Sushi and muppets doesn't sound too bad either...which side of that continued until two thirty, or was there some sake involved too?DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

I'm such an idiot. I put all my monthly spends on my CC and pay it off in full each month. I've just sent my monthly payment, and had a horrible sense of deja vu at the confirmation page.
My CC now has a balance of £740... in CREDIT. Whoops! :rotfl:
Some grovelling to do, I think!0 -

Don't worry about it mate, at least in the company I work for the money can be back in your account in 3 working days...it's pretty standard stuff to return the balance, or at least it should be.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Yeah, called MBNA and they were brilliant. It'll be back in the account on Monday, thank the heavens! I'd have been a bit shafted this month otherwise.0 -
Easy enough to do though, it happens to more people than you might think.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Just had the car serviced at £185, which was expected...
However the engine warning light has been on for a while and turns out a need a (very expensive!) new catalytic convertor.
This coupled with some other smaller repairs works out at around £900
Car's booked in next Saturday for the repairs and at least I won't need to use any credit to pay for it - but that £900 would have made a big dent in my debt.
I'm not expecting to be able to make any decent headway with the debts this month, unfortunately.
Pedro & Jemma - You might be in with a chance to 'catch up' hereI was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
