Oh hugs Jemma
Have to agree with others, when the one your supposed to be with appears, it will happen. My DH is from Cardiff im from Cambridge. He used to be a tenter (going round putting up marquees) and went all over the country. He got sent to St Ives on one trip and went to Cornwall . . . He was supposed to be here :rotfl: turned round and drove here and fell in love with the area. The tenting ended and he still didnt go home, got a job in a concrete slab company and then started working in the pub to make a bit of extra cash.
My mate took me down there one night after i'd broken up with a previous boyfriend, she worked in the sister pub and knew the landlord so we stayed after hours, it was the same night DH was working, and that is how we metHow random is that :rotfl:
Years later talking about how much of our meeting was fate, I was telling him that it really was random as mym mum and dad had talked seriously about emigrating to Australia when they were sending them over for £10ish and it was only because my dad didnt want to leave his nan that they didnt go, well DH's nana emigrated on the same deal  so even if they had gone, I think we still would have met as he was determined to go visit her (we have been twice now, I took him)
If they start just say 'oh yes, but I just love coming home when I want, having the bed to myself, no nappies, no crying kids hanging onto my dress screaming give me sweets, I can get roaring drunk, fall in the door at 2am and sleep till 2pm, oh yes I really want to give that up for some random bloke you pick for me in a restaurant!'SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £25/£10000 -

Thanks everyone for your lovely hugs and replies. I especially love your stories of how you met your OH's!
Jakes-mum we don't have any children in the family at all. My sisters are 33, 25 and 24, all living with their longtime husband/boyfriends who were there too last night so unfortunately they can come and go as they please too. They all want children eventually but my older sister has just finished 4 yrs of teacher training and is in her first year as a proper teacher. She was actually the worst one last night with her husband trying to write my phone number in the chocolate sauce on the dessert plates for example. She is difficult to be around at the best of times as she never drops her "teacherness" and likes to be VERY patronising and treat you like you're 5yrs old... that's why my younger sisters sat at the opposite end of the table as she's worse with them! She's been with Oli though since 1997 so very married...
What makes it worse is that I am going to be saving up for a house deposit after my debt is cleared this year but I will only be able to afford something really small and probably not that great as I'm on my own whereas they all have 2 incomes so are looking for big houses with gardens and conservatories etc which makes them even more smug and look at me with even more pity... I earn much more than any of them but it's still only one wage...
Things like this and social situations really cheese me off.
I really am sorry guys, I'm not usually like this at all but it really got me down last night, and we were having such a laugh at the beginning! After the Christmas fiasco, I thought we were doing really well until...
Well, I'm off to the Opticians this morning as I managed to break my contact lense on Monday (don't ask me how!!! - it looks like a tiny mouse has bitten some of it off...). I'm taking my mum and grandma for their eye tests too then we're off shopping as I got some vouchers from my sister so obviously need to spend them on something lovely. Then I'm off out with my two best friends tonight bowling as we have such a laugh with the bumpers up. Honestly, us 3 drunk bowling is worth seeing! Last time I slipped and ended up on the lane itself, too winded and laughing to hard to get up. My friends had tears streaming down their faces as I'd also managed to let go of the ball on my back swing and nearly hit them with it... Then we'll be out to our local for a giggle! Tomorrow I'm out for tea with Vicky and then Monday and I'm back down to Liverpool to see my friends as I've not been for a while. There's also a letter there from my friend in Afghan so I can't wait to read it and see if he liked the air hockey table I sent him wrapped in pink fairy wrapping paper! :rotfl:
See you guys later and I promise to be more upbeatxxx

I've been dreaming that I turned the fabric of time inside out....how random am I *snigger*
Another small payment from me this morning, off to the post office to send my fleabay packagesthen off to hopefully collect a freecycled step ladder from Tottenham...then photograph mooore fleabay items whilst it's daylight, edit them when it's dusk, then put up window film on remaining window before the heating comes off.
Oh turns out the football traffic starts before I can get across town...sounds like they just want to watch the football...so window film and stepladders will have to wait. It's obviously just a fleaaaabay day today then
I got given £55 in rainforest vouchers by my now ex colleagues yesterday so need to hunt out some bargains to spend them on. I've already spotted a huuuuge bag of Suma oats 10kg for about £6...I paid £3 for about 1kg in the shop the other dayIt's all about hunting out the bargains and then trying to work out where to put things so the dogs don't get them hehehe
Happy Saturday everyone. To anyone with pushy parents re: settling down...just tell them "Would you rather I was miserable my whole life just because I settled for Mr Right Now, instead of Mr Right?"Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Jemma, have you considered something like VSO once you're debt free? With no mortgage, debt or other commitments, what a fantastic time to do something amazing! I *so* wish i'd done something like that when I was young, sadly I thought about doing it but had a stupid boyfriend at the time who I wouldn't leave. He ended up being a !!!!!, so I wish I'd just gone and done it. You would meet amazing people, and who knows, you might meet the love of your life as well!
Or save up and travel, do something! Seriously, there's plenty of time for mortgages, kids and marriage, you're working like mad to clear these debts, get out and live a little once they are gone.

Bigs hugs Jemma, as the saying goes you can not choose your family but you can choose your friends! Mr right is out there and when the time is right you and him will be happy forever!!
Pedro - how's the running going, it won't be long until your first 13 mile run. I've just done my longest run to date this year of 4.5 miles and my bum is freezing, its ridiculous I've been in the house 30 minutes now and its still freezing haha! Don't suppose you have any tips on clothing as its just so cold out there.
I'm off now to try and spend as little as possible in the fabric shop. I'm going to attempt to make a maternity pillow, its a pillow which supports you during the night, to help you sleep better. I looked at buying one for my friend but they are £45 (for a pillow), so the sewing machine is coming out!
Have a lovely Saturday everyone :-)I will stop spending on things I don't need
