  • The freezer and cupboards have been explored, listed and finally used. Today I have sliced up the roast beef from yesterdays late New Years dinner ( late as i couldn't be arsed to battle with the hangover on New Years day), added some great gravy and lobbed it in the freezer, with the remaining scraps made into tonights stir fry. Again I made too much so another tub in the freezer that will supply me when the wife is away.

This added to the fish cakes I made from some salmon steaks that have been hiding for quite a while, I am very happy with my day. No money spent, and the evening meals until friday sorted!
  • :mad:OMG, I think I must be the only one on here whose debt is going UP:mad:

just a quick hello! been lurking, and have subscribed to this thread so i don't lose track - i stumbled upon this thread as i had it in my head, as of January, will be ebaying anything that isn't nailed down (well it seems like it! lol) - and keeping it in paypal until the end of each month, and using it to pay extra off the c/card - have 38 items on ebay right now, some with bids! yay!

both me and hubby are tackling this head on and want the c/card GONE by xmas - if not sooner

will be sorting it out, and will get the figure soon - but for now i've got a vague idea of what it is - i'm not counting a 'real figure' until the 10th = as 10th is my (last) payday - which always covers my overdraft, and just after that is my birthday! - so new 'birth year' = new start :)

I failed at NSD's and make £10/day back in Sept, but now will try that again too :)

I'm already a member of a lot of survey sites and click-y things, but will look out for more - luckily for me I managed about £30 of amazon vouchers that paid for xmas pressies - so gonna keep at that too!

got a lot of 'to-do' lists to do! (haha! - i need a list to make a list? ) - so thats going to be good - plus need to lose weight! it's all go this year! :)
  • Ok being brave and sending my 1st post. Think i got the ~tag number wrong in my signiture. Is that like a members number . I need to read up some more!
Well ive taken to trying ebay 1st to which my first sale was a loss to me...some more research to do there (not told the hubby yet) But its not failure just learnt what not to do..
Love this thread and am seriously gonna hit this debt even if my other half doesnt want to. Inspiring to see soem of the amounts being paid off..feeling very hopefull. Thanku

I'm super jealous of your bargains idristhedragon I love Yankee candles, that's so cheap for two of them, well done.

I also got a sewing machine this Christmas, with the ambition of making some things to sell on ebay, I love the idea of making things, however doing this is another story :-)

Hi . i invested into a sewing machine in Nov when i couldnt even afford it but its be so worth it. Havent made any money yet but did a few learn to sew/soft furnishing/upholstery classes and now i can make own stuff for the home from old fabric from clothes, getting fabric from charity shops, making book cover/bags, cushions etc to sell eventually.. start small or do a class to get you motivated x
  • Hi all,

Ooh I love sewing, next on my list is a Cath Kidston plastic bag dispenser thingy. They were selling in JL for £12 (I think) and it made me wince as I knew I could make it for half that price, and that's my task for the weekend :) Ooh and The Swedish Funiture Flatpack shop sell Cath Kidstonesq fabric for cheaps :) I noticed they have curtains in their in the Paisley print.

I've only made an oyster card holder and a washbag so far, present for me, present for MIL.
    Pictores: Makeup Bag
    Oystercard holder 1
    Oystercard holder 2
:) I can't even sew in a straight line hehe. I might think about making some for fleabay but need to finish sorting room first.

Debt busting note, Vanquis are taking ages to take my payment to them which is delaying paying my money to Wescott :( not behind yet but annoyed that I can't bust anything else yet :(

    Hi Mf0u-1098,

I am so sorry, I made a mistake. I've gone back and edited my last post and this the correct status of my debts after today's payment.

"Another 355.12 paid off so now the total for

    #65 is 1182.23/ 12471.68"

(The amount I paid is the same but I didn't add in the BoM&D into the declared amount).

    Sorry.
