Dang and blast it!!! Oh Pooh Sticks!!!
Have just had an email from Tesc0 credit card to say I've gone over my limit so I'm going to get charged... I cannot believe I've been such an idiot!!! It's on 0%, I have plenty of money in the bank and yet I used it just to get points! I'm cutting it up as we speak... It's takes 3 days for the payment to go through so how much am I likely to get charged???

if its your first time going over ring and ask them to waive it as a good will gesture, say you never go over and you had an error of judgement, tell them how mortified you are, your worried now etc, oh and remind them what a good customer you are always paying ontime. Have you tried calling them or writing a letter? It only seems to work if you've never missed a payment before - I think I said that the statement was lost in the post & I only missed the payment by a day, and was a prevoiusly great customer etc etc etc.
I'm not sure it was Tesco, but the cc company did waive the £12 fee & not mark my credit file

I've made a new payment to my MBNA account so have reduced what I owe further, only £100 left on that account with the possibility of paying it off by the end of the month? :j
I've altered my debt figure down slightly as I included an account I pay off in full monthly.

Question for tea-break, everybody... with all this fleabaying going on, what are the little luxuries in your life that you couldn't bear to part with? I know underwear isn't high up that list for some of you!
Mine has to be my coffee machine. I live round the corner from an amazing little independent coffee bean shop - they roast their own beans, so they're always fresh. I've only been here seven months, but I think they're getting sick of me already
That's actually pretty tough for me....I'm quite a simple soul and can do without most. I think my biggest luxury is the way I eat - I'm a bit of a food snob and always buy free range/responsibly sourced meats and try not to eat processed foods. It does bump the bills up thoughOther than that, I'm pretty addicted to my iPhone - keeps me occupied on my commute to/from work (1.5 hrs each way )
By the way - I'm pretty sure selling underwear is prohibited on eBay :rotfl::rotfl: Remember reading it when I first started selling (I'm a bit obsessive about reading rules/instructions:A) Can't believe someone actually asked for them :rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry to hear that Jemma:( Is there no way you can do a faster payment? I know if I make mine online they usually get there the same day? Or if you call them up they often apply it straight away....
Good news is that because you're clearing it so quickly, it wont show on your credit record, so please don't stress in that regard. Might you be better off applying for a higher limit to ensure that there is enough to cover one month? Then you still take advantage of the 0% and get the points but far less risk of charges.

I am really going to need to take a look at my figures over all.
We are aiming to
1 reduce our debt - but didn't included overdraft in my original balance (stupid yes)
2 have some money put aside for emergencies, car repairs, household repairs etc. as we have just got to get out of the "oh well we will bang it on the credit card and then increase our payments" mentallity. It doesn't work; well not for us any way.:o
Pay day has put us back on track and we have been very frugal in January so I hope this sets a pattern for the rest of the year.
Slinks off and re jigs her budget.:)My finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -

I made the payment online but it still takes 3 days apparently. I have the money in my savings so I might just pay off the credit card in full. It might knock my snowball out a little bit but saving 2 months interest on a loan that I've had for 6 years and that doesn't end for another 2 probably won't be as much as they could end up charging me! Besides, peace of mind... :A
Thanks guys, I'll give Tesc0 a ring and turn on the waterworks I think.. :rotfl:New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
