I <3 food, just made nigella oven chips and put cheese on them this time om nom nom. The only way I found to cut down spending on food was the grocery challenge and to make food from scratch. I've definitely spent a lot less since I stopped shopping in the SM every week as well. Feb will be the first month I've completely stuck to it though.

I must look into what the grocery challenge is, living next to a SM isn't helping my food spend! I do usually make food from scratch and try to avoid processed food, but it slips when I get tired - I need to go to bed earlier! I don't know how you can make everything from scratch and not go to the SM every week though, won't the fresh food get old?

I was exactly the same, spent most of my money on food! Best thing I did was to try and get as many no spend days as possible each month... It's quite fun actually and has stopped me from getting a takeaway or chocolate bar etc just because I don't want to lose a NSD. I have definitely curbed what I buy in the supermarkets because of it, I always have a spendy day on a sunday as I go out for tea so make sure that I go to the supermarket to get things for my lunches for the week that day so I don't lost another NSD.

I used to spend about £3-4 per day easy on lunches at work but now I always take my own and have got into the routine. Give it a go, it's surprising how easy it is to have fun getting to your target NSD's for the month. Most I've had is 7 NSD's in a row but normal is about 4. I'm going to try and get 20 in Feb which will be tough as there are only 29 days

I'm definitely going to try setting an NSD target - although I'm away the first week of February so I'd better start when I get back, otherwise I'll be going hungry on holiday :rotfl:

Hi i know know if it would help or if you could/or still need it, but could you sell the old laptop?

I can't work out how to double quote but Jakes-mum, im waiting to see what primary school my son starts this year, i find out in march too but im hoping to move this year, so probably have to change it  xx

I plan to sell the old laptop, but I've just been lazy so far as it needs to be wiped first.

well i had a nice surprise last night before bed, thought id just give swagbucks one last check before log off and id won 500 swagbucks on something calles 5 for five  so got meself another £5 amazon voucher and am already 482 points toward the next

ahh angelbob its a long wait isnt it :( here its secondary school that get notified in march (ds) and primary in may  (dd) which doesnt give much time for appeal if you dont like the primary school you've got given :(

to multiquote, click the 2 speech bubbles at the bottom of each post you want to quote (max 3) then when your ready, click the normal 'quote' button on the last post you've selected to mutli quote and it will open the advanced box with them all there :D

Thanks only took me 3 years to learn to double quote.
my eldest is at secondary school and we still have grammar schools here, so had to wait for results of the 11+ test (he passed :T) then to find out what school he got in, seemed to go on for ages, xx hope you get the schools you want.

Oh I get veg boxes each week :) although I had enough from last week to cover for this week, yummy organic goodness mmm and no sneaky trips to the SM.

jakes-mum and there I was thinking I was special, I got that 5 for 5 too and was soooo happy with myself :)

Just went to the PO and realised I've posted the wrong item to someone oops, will have to post them the correct item tomorrow.

:rotfl::rotfl: For some reason your question made me chuckle.. it's better than it was but still not right, am hoping it's down to the infection. If my ear clears up and it is still weird I'll go to the dentist, but can't be shelling out more money yet!

Thanks guys :) I did have leave anyway, was only due to work Friday and Sat so I'll have to squeeze more leave days in before the end of March as they will give them back to me!

Ahh ears, mouths, noses, sinuses they're all linked and a pain in the backside. If my eyes are dry I get tension headaches because my sinuses swell and if I wear my earplugs too long my nose and ears hurt!

    Ps. I hate the dentiste!
