Its scary isn't it rictus. I've been doing the same but take it as baby steps. Just think once you pay that off you have all that extra income from the loan payments to make more over payments!0

No 149 Another update: Debt paid off is actually £4,518.32
Been a der brain and not correctly logged my interest for Vanquis credit card! Its was actually 34.08% not 39.9%.
However a bit a mini dilemma now. The next card with the highest apr is Capital One at 35.9%.
I've got £317.91 on the Vanquis and £1,079.09 left on capital one. Paying £50.00 to Vanquis and £45.00 to Capital one. Should I switch tactics and pay off Capital one first or stick at the Vanquis one! Then if you have any pennies left over from other balances, snowball them in repayments at the cap one until it's gone gone gone

Thats what I thought Kerri, Been very analytical and looked at it and I'll save the grand total of £9.76 interest doing it the correct way so may as well do it! Plus If I keep pushing myself neither card will matter by the end of April!0

Got it to the pence at the moment! Going to keep throwing money at it all. Want to clear these two then work on my 29.9% Apr loan as I have 3 at 29.9% and by reducing that I'll have an extra £233.14 each month to clear off!0

Jemma, Has everything calmed down at your end?
Sort of, I've had to give my mum a little pep talk this morning about making more of an effort as my dad dissappeared yesterday for a couple of hours to see "her" which got my mum's back up so she's been sulking. However, she's not been making an effort with my dad so it's no wonder he's sneaking back to his old ways. I'm trying to get her to see that him talking to "her" is just like my mum always on the phone to my grandma (winds my dad up). They are both as bad as each other.
I told my mum this morning to ask my dad out for a lovely meal tonight (I have a 20% off voucher for this lovely pub/restaurant - very mse!) but she instantly said "well we'll just call on our way back". I tried to tell her that this isn't exactly making an effort as it shows that food is her first priority not my dad. If they come home first and get ready then it'll show my dad that the food is not important, it's spending time with him. She replied "but I've never done anything like this before"... That's the whole blooming problem you lazy c0w!!! I've told her that she's not making any effort and it is inevitable that they will split up in the future and it will be because she's too lazy and takes her marriage for granted.
Maybe it's just me but I used to love thinking of ways to show my boyf (obviously ex now - he was a c0ckwomble!) that he was special, just little treats or messages (had no money...) but he knew everyday that I cared and was proud to be with him. I cannot understand how my mum thinks that she can coast along doing nothing cos she's lazy and then play the victim card and have tantrums cos he feels rejected. What a child...!
Sorry! I didn't mean to ramble on so much....!!! :rotfl:
Thank you for asking :A but I will not get involved again (which I've told her) as it will be entirely her fault if it doesn't work out this time. We've given her every tool to save her marriage but it is up to her to realise how much is at stake...
The family are planningto go out for a meal to have a second christmas in Feb combining my birthday, my sisters and my uncles but not really looking forward to it to be honest as it's always so stressful when our family all gets together. Think I'll just slope off to the bar and get drunk... :rotfl:New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Think the last part sounds like a plan! Got a load of wine off the inlaws at Christmas so going to have some more tonight and have a cheap night in again!0
