jakes-mum can you not confiscate the cards and give him an "allowance" each week/month and if he blows it then that's his problem? you work so hard at paying the debt off, yet seem to have someone that needs a good boot up the derier pulling you backwards again :(

grr I need to find a new hiding place for my credit card overpayment money, as 'himself' has started to dip into it  had a nice £220 in there to go toward the CC and now theres £180 cos he 'needed' to have some money in his pocket . . . you know . . . cos hes working on the road rather than in a factory . . . grrrr sooooo shaking him upside down when he gets home to see what I can get back :rotfl:

I completely sympathise! OH and I agreed to live off of 'pocket money' so we have £15 per week to use for whatever we like, but that's all. He had to go out for a drink the other eve with a colleague so used his card (for our petrol account so the only card he's allowed to keep with him ;)) to buy the drinks as was out of pocket money. I raised it with him and he said it's ok because he covered it with money from the savings account!!! Surely that defeats the point.... Really doesn't get it.

How often do you pay it to the card? Maybe more frequent payments would help, and reduce your interest payments, too?

I can kind of see where hes coming from as hes working 13 hr days and thats a loooooooooong time on a flask of coffee its just frustrating. I am supposed to be working out allowances but its bloomin hard for me to get to the bank at times and if I sent him he'd come back with double what I wanted and have stopped at the bakers for a sausage roll and the garage for some chocolate on his way home

He actually rarely takes money out the bank now or uses cards (except THE GAME) he just tends to pick up money ive left in the house (by left I mean hidden and hes stumbled across :rotfl:)

Normally I would have paid it off as soon as I had it but could I find the bloomin bill with the tear off strip? could I eck as like, should have put it in the bank and paid it via internet but was worried id like the moving of the overdraft balance so much I wouldnt pay it all to the card :o fallen on my own sword comes to mind :rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry I had to giggle about the savings account bit, thats DH to a T, bless them, without us they'd just drown :rotfl: its nice to be needed . . . i just wish sometimes he needed me a bit less :rotfl::rotfl:

I will say im having a bit of a panic at the minute as our anniversary is coming up at the end of march and my adopted sister has taken it upon herself to remind him (as hes forgotten the last 2 years, year before that I organised us going away and year before that was our first year so he didnt have time to forget ) and they are having secret text conversations about it which I have been periferally involved in as he sometimes wouldnt reply. Well one of the answers I had to text her was '150 could stretch to 2' now if thats £'s where the hell is he getting that money from?? or am I going to get handed a credit card bill the month after to pay
