  • oh my goodness, I am exhausted. I have missed a couple of days (my own fault), sat down to read through posts to "catch up" and it is now gone eleven!!! haven't even washed up from tea!! I still have yet to get off the ground with my debtbusting, but will probably only update once a month when I get paid too. Hope this is ok. I don't have a lot of spare cash but want to try and make some overpayments. Need to transfer my cards to 0% and will probably put that into action at the weekend. Pay day on 31st. Got paid a week before xmas which was brilliant at the time, but feeling it now! Roll on payday. x

It's ok, at least we're not last like Pedro! :rotfl:

That'd be the fighting talk again! I'm just giving you both a head start so it feels all the more special when I dip my head first over the line. Nobody likes a rout, after all...

Anyway, whoever finishes first buys the first round  Not that I'm trying to put you off...

Oh, and by the way... in three minutes my figure drops by £945.89. Just thought I'd warn you!

    Haha! Jeeeesus, Kerri!

I'm off on my hollibobs in a few hours, back in 8 days. I was going to ask when I got back, but seeing as you're forcing the issue...

I'd love to, if she says yes :)

Good news!!! £4200 from Halifax for PPI :) I'm a happy girl! When I get it through, it means £3k off my debt and the rest towards HK.

Anyone know if you have to pay tax on this? MrS was asking and I have no idea.#

ETA: Also, I can pay off 2 debts in full I think where I have been paying the min for a few years, but it hasn't got to DCA. Have any of you had any experience of offering a F&F that is less than the outstanding amount on a long running debt?

I doubt it as it's a refund, and you've already paid tax on your earnings when you made the PPI payments.
  • 6 days til payday then I can do my first update yayyy!!!!

Well done! I am still waiting for Welcome to get back to me.

I gather from reading the threads on the reclaiming board you need to pay tax on the interest.
