Good news!!! £4200 from Halifax for PPI :) I'm a happy girl! When I get it through, it means £3k off my debt and the rest towards HK.

Anyone know if you have to pay tax on this? MrS was asking and I have no idea.#

ETA: Also, I can pay off 2 debts in full I think where I have been paying the min for a few years, but it hasn't got to DCA. Have any of you had any experience of offering a F&F that is less than the outstanding amount on a long running debt?

Added 15 squids to my change pot this afternoon, totals are adding up nicely :)

I wrote to my DCA who are dealing with an old debt about a F&F. The balance is £500 and they are offering £450.............would you accept?

    Thanks xxx

NO! All of mine have knocked off 25% if working on behalf of the original debtor....my sis got at least half knocked off her debts which had been sold on.

    :( Trying hard...failing miserably :(
