What do you think are the most flattering jeans for women?

I find jeans a hideously stressful thing to buy and as result I don't own any. As a size 14, I am not huge, however all my weight is around my stomach so jeans have the marvelous effect of squishing my stomach into a very full muffin top
Maybe I should go and give the Levi curve ones a shot?Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
I get my boyfit jeans from Next, my skinnys from New Look and I don't really wear any other type tbh. I'd say Bootcut are flattering thoughThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I love Topshop 'Jamie' skinny jeans.
They are so soft and comfy and as they are high waisted, very flattering.0 -

I will reward myself with a pair of these when I lose weight ( need to lose 4 stone before I could entertain these tbh)
I have a pair of these I got from eBay for £20 and I love them.....but I dunno if I would pay full price for them I have them in a uk 14 and I feel great when wearing them0 -
My favourites are a pair of M&S bootcut jeans with a little stretch. They're very flattering and easy to wear. I did almost buy a pair of Not Your Daughter's Jeans from John Lewis' a while ago. These were fab, very flattering but soooo expensive (£120ish I think).
My daughters (22 and 17) like River Island jeans which seem to wear quite well (though I'm not into slouch/ripped etc.)somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -
I've got two pairs of NYDJ I do like them, but have been dissapointed in the long term wear of them. I've got a straight pair and a bootcut. Probably the jeans I've worn most over the last couple of years.
bought a fab pair of bootcut jeans from Kew just before Christmas.Love them nice thick dark denim, great cut. Got a pair of boyfriend jeans from kew as well back in the summer in a faded denim.
Had a pair from M&S in their Autograph range that I loved but are a bit too big now. On the whole though I don't really like M&S jeans, too much streach and usually too high waisted.0 -
I hate bootcut with a PASSION!
I've yet to see a woman who looks good in them...sorry to those who like them.
My faves are slouch/boyfriend jeans from New Look and skinny from H & M.
If you are getting muffin top when wearing jeans, then you are wearing the wrong size.
When I was larger - I used to be size 18-20 but now I'm a 10 - I used to have control wear knickers...those that start under the bust and finish at your knees.
They were great for wearing under jeans and used to get rid of the muffin top that I had from wearing my fave pair of jean that I wouldn't throw away. :rotfl:Stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage.0 -
I get all my jeans from charity shops. Never pay more than a fiver for them (except the armani's, they were 7.99) But I am lucky in that most styles seem to suit me. I do prefer high waist though. I wear jeans to work every day so can't afford to pay a lot for them.0

The best jeans Ive got are some which I bought in America from a shop called Wet Seal - think New Look. they cost me about £10. I had a pair and they lasted for about 3 years, and i got a new pair of the same style this year. Theyre skinny jeans and they stretch perfectly and fit really well, but dont cut off the circulation and come in a really nice dark indigo blue.
Ive paid £35 for Topshop jeans and I find after a couple of months they start to go baggy, and I find most of their styles are made for women with no hips and big stomachs - seems to be more of a mans shape! Miss Selfridge ones are sometimes ok as they do better leg lengths for me.
I wish I could find somewhere here that does jeans which are as good but as cheap as my Wet Seal ones!0 -
Thank you Mrs E for starting this thread and to those who suggested H and M - I have one locally and just popped in - loving the regular waist as I'm of an age where low rise isn't a good look...! Will definitely be shopping here again now that I know my size
One slight niggle is that my jeans were £30, but the website had what looks like exactly the same pair for £15! (can't be entirely sure as there is no code on my jeans) Not sure I can be bothered with the hassle of ordering and returning the others for the sake of £10. GRR0
