Levis jeans aren't generally great quality anymore, they're very thin and go saggy. I tried the curve ID in every different "curve" in every different cut and in 3 different sizes but none were right for me! Seems like they would be good for average/tall people with totally flat butts or with bigger butts but also low hips(they cut into my hips at a really unflattering point giving me a muffin top even though there's virtually no fat there). Also for some reason I find Levis jeans don't wrap around your legs evenly, they squash them so your legs appear wider from the front but slimmer from the side and attempt to cut into your leg along the bag :s I just don't get on with Levis and expect more from jeans that cost £80.

I find H&M supersqin to be the best fit of skinny jeans. If you find most skinny jeans have legs that are too baggy or you are short then these are for you, I have round hips but slim legs(hourglass-ish figure with hips but a gap between my legs even though they're not emaciated) so the "super slim legs" are just nicely slim rather than freakishly tight like they would be on most people. I'm also only 5'2 so the "super low rise" is more just low on me.

Sorry not upon names for jeans but I would say the best looking ones arethe ones that people look comfortable in nothing looks worse than obviously tight jeans .i.e. pushes your midriff up into a spare tire.

My personal hate at the moment is the trend my grandson is following where they fall down and show
    your underpants

    Known as muffin-top.
I agree the make & style is down to personal choice but the fit is the really important thing.
  • I bought the Levi Curve jeans a few months ago. They make me feel really skinny (am a 12-14ish).

The first time I wore them, 2 people commented on how skinny my legs/bum looked.

I love them to bits! :j

I used to wear 501s years ago, all I wore. Then I stopped buying Levis. Now I have lost enough weight to buy Levis again I wondered if they were any good now.

I got some of the Next ultimate jeans today & a regular pair of boot cut (always Boot cut, never Skinny or straight leg).

I bought some really nice jeans in Debenhams yesterday - they are quite high cut, so don't give a muffin top, and bootcut. They are quite a dark blue, which is apparently best for over 40s.

I like H&M Squin but the sizing is dodgy I am usually an 8 but need a 10 as they seem to be cut for women with no hips, I also like to have at least 2% lycra and a regular waist, low rise gives me a muffin top that I dont really have but the H&M regular fit is still low but not too low compared to others, I always wear skinny or very baggy, even my flares are skinny but flare out at the bottom, I do like super squin too but dd wears that so I do feel I need to draw the line somewhere, and they're cheap too and very often on offer;)
Thank you for this site Martin

  • I would love a pair of Not Your Daughter`s Jeans.....

I will reward myself with a pair of these when I lose weight ( need to lose 4 stone before I could entertain these tbh)

Had them, they are not all that. The denim is quite thin.
  • Aww, sorry you didn`t like them. I have never seen them in the flesh, the thinner denim may actually suit me as they would be cooler to wear.
