Driving through a no entry sign

Took a wrong turn last night and went through a no entry sign which led onto a one way street, did a 3 point turn and went back out again the same way.

There were cctv cameras above the traffic lights, should i be expecting 3 pts and a £60 fine or worse?

Don't think so, as long as you rectified the mistake as soon as you noticed it. That's what I was taught anyhoo.

If you do receive something through the post, OP, then get on to http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30 and post up the PCN. Someone on there will be able to assist you.

There are no licence points for contravening a no entry sign.

If they were specifically CCTV cameras, than I wouldn't worry. However, if they were traffic offence cameras there to catch out motorists doing what you did, I would be more concerned.

Assuming this is a council-operated CCTV, the OP would receive a PCN (no points), not an FPN (3 points) from the police.

i dont think the council actually would fine you..

if the police were gonna fine you its 3 points and £60 fine..

ive done by mistake twice (different areas) once the police let me off with a warning and the 2nd time was council cctv and nothing ever happened..
