You poor thing!!!! U must go & see a dentist; the pain won't go away permanently. Trust me I'm a dentist ( retired.):cry::cry:

Had a much better day 2day, evening walked past the wine aisle, when i stopped 4 petrol.:D

Must go & finish my homework 4 college 2morrow.
Hope U all had a good evening!

    18 AFDS
Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life!
No buying unnecessary clothes even if they are reduced.
  • Wow!!! Well done Crazymum :j:T

Oil of cloves is what you need Bearacus. Numbs the pain X

The wine bells were screaming at me earlier. But I had to drive my son to swimming class and thankfully I didn't feel like it when I got home. Had tonic and lime instead.

Watching Mrs Brown's Boys (hilarious) then off to bed for me.

    Much love X

Oh 2 for the SNC please :j
    Need to start again :o

Hello, managed not to drink the free wine on offer at the do tonight (well done me, dealing with politicians should be enough to quAlify for a guilt free drinking day) and got back in time to do gym class so feeling very fit and without any chance of a hangover for the joyous staff meeting tomorrow morning oh boy do I know how to live

  • Hi All, and happy end of Jan....

bearacus, big hugs to you. Totally empathise, tooth pain is the worst. Take care of you xx

crazymum, wow, some journey in 31 short days. I wish I had a standing ovation smiley. Well done you, and also esp. on the non-smoking front too....an inspirational story to follow

    plumjam, welcome.......welcome

.....you're showing amazing restraint despite what life throws at you. I cave into wine at the first sign of stress usually, so :T to you.

Well story here is that I have finished Jan on 24 AFDs pls Shaggy.
Short of my 27 day target, but a vast improvement. I recently calculated that I was on about 25+ bottles of wine a month for much of last year.
In Jan, that dropped to approx 7. Not where I want to be but as they say "slowly, slowly, catchy monkey" :)
I have caved tonight for 2 reasons. Firstly, strangely, I felt like celebrating the end of the month (and pay day !)
Also, my lovely OH is away with work and I miss him. A couple of glasses of wine gave me some comfort (a sad excuse) but made me feel better (and less stressed dealing with the girls on my own !!)

    Anyway, February...........BRING IT ON !!!!!!!

Oh, only 1 for the SNC thanks bearacus
  • Shaggy - I think I have someone else's 29 days against my Feb target.... much as I would love to achieve that, I think realistically I would like to pledge 23 AFDs for Feb pls

    Thx, CP

bearacus - sorry you feel so bad, try very hot very salty water as temporary relief

crazymum - standing up clapping you, you are such an inspiration

plumjam - hi, you'll like it here :)

That's it - January done and target met = 22 AFD still find it hard to believe that after all these years I've managed over 3 weeks without a drink and without it being a terrible experience either. Maybe I've finally grown up - about 25 years late :rotfl:

Good luck to everyone for February whatever your aims may be.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
