Take care all

Just been on alcohol unit calculator. I drank 600mls of mixture of 13.5% and 8.5% white wine so average 11%, so alcohol units = 11.3. Not proud of myself, the wine was disgusting, I had no reason to drink other than knowing there was probably going to be no school this morning, which there isn't. Okay, it's done now. When I started drinking, I thought well I've started now may as well continue, and I tried to drink it really fast but because I don't like the taste thank god i had to stop, felt physically sick. Just goes to show that I drink for the effect not the taste, and I am not in control at all. I think I needed this as a wake-up call. 11.3 units in an hour or so. No wonder my head is a bit fuzzy and I had weird dreams again. I need to finish this wine off, I haven't got the heart to throw it away, I know I'm making excuses. I hate waste and I hate throwing alcohol away when I know I'll end up buying more when there's none in the house. Hope that this does not encourage anyone to drink, I am explaining to hopefully put you off, because all those AF days have been in vain, I didn't even have a reason to drink and yet I had to be in control, and be selfish and think I deserve and how dare anyone stop me. What a fool I am, and I still haven't learnt. Went in the fridge this morning and thought I'll have too buy some lemonade to go with the disgusting chardonnay I drank last night. That's the only bottle that's open so I have no reason to open the disgustingly sweet one. I'm so sorry guys, I'm in hangover mode and then the adrenaline will kick in getting off on the hangover. Aware of this and still the alcohol tricks me. I'll see you all later. Sorry

41, don't panic! It is ok! No-one is judging you EXCEPT you! Be kind to yourself. If you can't have it in the house without drinking it, then drink it and get rid of it...BUT only if you don't then replace it...if you are going to replace it you're back to square one. That's the problem with alcohol. It's cunning! You are going to be ok. We are all here for you to lend an ear. Take a deep breath and stay calm. It is not the end of the world. Today is a new day. You haven't let anyone down.
Tomorrow is another day. You're sick of wine before finishing a full bottle? Hands down, that's only ever happened to me when I've been ill before and not even always then.
You've come a long way. If you walk a long journey, you're bound to stumble or stop to catch your breath once in a while. What redeems you is when you pick yourself up and carry on.
Well done on your honesty and good luck for tomorrow xxx
Thanks for helping me last night. I won't forget your kind words in the middle of my binge. I don't like wine, so I don't know if I chose that as my poison because I knew I would stop at some point, but most likely because like I say, the moscadet was open and has been for ages, and I bought the chardonnay from the spar ages ago too and opened before I wanted to give up. Still got loads of opened chardonnay, it is vile. Please don't ask me to throw it away, it's not in my nature, I have OCD and have problems with waste, recycling takes up a lot of my time, because I am frightened to waste things. At least I know how much I drank and the unit values, now I can take the consequences. I am glad I measured the wine, at least I had enough sense to have a gap between emotion and drink, that measuring time would have made me stop and think, do i really want this, and each time i measured 200mls i thought no i dont want this but i deserve it and im in control. after the 400mls my stomach was saying no but i wanted to get off my face for the chaos, then i took my 50mgs sertraline antidepressant before bed. Didn't get off my face, but drowsy, mellow, and blurred vision. Today my aim is to sit down and add up everything properly, and I will feel better. Thanks for reading and I hope this will help you to abstain.

Aw jak I been waiting for you to read my posts, I proved I am human anyway LOL. I hear you and I agree with you. I thankyou for your support, even though I have had a slip nothing has changed here, but I KNOW that I have drunk and still the world turns, but I know that I chose to drink, no-one made me and I set my targets for not drinking, no-one made me, now I need to re-evaluate a realistic target. I think I am the type of person who doesn't miss anything till its off limits, including ex-boyfriends, chocolate etc. It's a new day so I'm starting again with you all hoping that you won't drink because it is pretty worthless, and all I've gained is a funny feeling in my stomach and a guilty conscience.

Morning all
41 you are not letting us down, we can all empathise with you. I thought about wine last night when I went to tesco. But bought some Becks blue instead.
If there is only you going to drink the wine, and it is so disgusting, why don't you just pour it down the sink and have done with it. You will feel liberated not as though you have wasted the wine!
I have done that in the past. In the morning after drinking loads the night before, I have just been disgusted with myself and poured it down the sink.
I don't like the thought that I can't have a drink again, but I know the drink is in control of me and it's going to be a life time struggle, how do we know if we are alcoholic? I have lived with alcoholics and once they started to drink they could not stop. I can drink nearly a bottle of wine in a night but not quite finish it off.
Am I just trying to justify my drinking now? I probably drank that amount 5-6 nights per week. Which is well over the recommended unit level.
This will be my third AF weekend and I am looking forward to it.
Yesterday I pulled all my wardrobe out, so today is the big sort out, wish me luck? Went to get shopping last night instead of finishing it, just in case we are snowed in today.
