16th AFD of the month and 3rd SNC of the week!0

16/22 AF for me now.
I'm a very mad-at-myself Satchmo today, as I dropped my lovely netbook last night and the LED screen is shattered.
That's £40 for a new screen which my darling clever son will fit for me next weekend, but I already feel as if my fingers have been amputated. I'm using DH's laptop, and the keys are so far apart I can't type at my usual speed. I daren't tell him what I've done, as it was a present, and I'm always falling asleep and dropping his Kindle so he'd bar me if he knew :-(((What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Another dry night here - getting quite used to it I have to say. So that's now 13 for january and 3 for the SNC
Jak, I am really enjoying th eenthusiasm of your posts - well done and have a great tea tomorrowTrying to keep in budget.

Well today has been a mixed bag really.
New tumble dryer delivered at 11am. New electric meter fitted this afternoon. Then got a gas leak so no central heating tonight.
Gas board have dug a big hole at the front of the house and are coming back tomorrow to finish off.
So much for my relaxing week off work. I started on my wardrobe todày, but its a bit overwhelming, what to throw and what to keep.
Me and daughter went shopping to get out of the cold house and I spent £17, would have spent that a few times a week if I was drinking though.
Saw a rug that I want, but not quite got the iPhone money yet, if I am meant to have it, it will still be there when I have sold some more stuff.
Tomorrow the gas men are coming at 8.30, so I will do what I can in the house while they are working, then I am doing some housework for my elderly mother in law.
Felt a bit down for some reason today, never quite got motivated.
16/31 AF - still not been tempted!
Goodnight everyone

ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Warbonnet so sorry your day didn't go to plan - so annoying when that happens- stay strong - things will be back to normal as soon as the gas men are gone....:)What do we do when we fall? Afternoon, everyone. Not much to say, my head isn't so full of rubbish at the moment. The side-effects of sertraline are much better now, I don't feel like my head's gonna explode and falling asleep so often. Hoping to increase, the dose next week as I still feel anxious and depressing, a wonderful combination and they are both happening at the same time, I am amazed at my brain multi-tasking in that way. This is a wonderful journey, I am learning how to heal myself, I need a hug from myself that alcohol used to attempt to give me, but it required payment from me, my time, my relationships, and self-sacrifice. Even when I began to write this post, a thought of having a drink popped in because I was saying that the side-effects are getting better. See that something good happens and I immediately think I deserve a drink to celebrate. But when I'm sad or desparate I will drink first and then come on here to confess, so I'm getting it all on here, so that I won't get sad or desparate and then isolate and drink. I saw taken for the first time last night it was good, im in love with liam neeson for defo now, hes well fit and my mum came up today so i put it on for her to watch so i had to sit through it all again, what a shame lmao. Jak you are reaping the benefits that alcohol STOLE from you, hows about that sticking your tongue out. All your hard work is gonna give you these memories that make life worth living, you warmed the cockles of my heart. Now for a thought for the day, we only want something because it's not there sometimes, when we get it sometimes we don't appreciate it. So absence of alcohol will make the desire stronger, but if we give in and drink it isn't always what we were longing for in the first place. Unfortunately it is a take-all relationship where strings are definitely attached and no matter how loyal you are you will always get hurt, it is faceless, heartless and has no loyalty back to you.

Watched When A Man Loves A Woman last night/this morning, scary to think how many of those traits could have applied to me (unfortunately without Andy Garcia...)
