    Morning all

Shaggy - so sorry to hear of the news regarding your Sister. As others have said, prognosis when caught early is very good nowadays but obviously you and your family must be extremely worried. ((Hugs))

Mari - yes, I'm very glad July is over and normality (such as it is!) can be resumed. Also, today is out first payday in over a month (hubby paid weekly) when some of the money is actually spare!!:rotfl:Please could I do the school night challenge? Pop me down for all three with one done already. Thanks!

    1 please Shaggy

Shaggy, sending you and your sister some virtual hugs and best wishes, and also respect for your determination to not rely on alcohol as a crutch.

It was a national holiday here yesterday so I went to a friend's place for drinks and then to the fireworks and this morning I feel bad!
Not a good start to the month but a reminder of why I shouldn't drink too much.
So I'll join in the SNC for today and tomorrow please and I'm also aiming for saturday to be AF as I'm at my In laws (we're coming to the UK for a day at the olympics!)
    Trying to keep in budget.

Morning all, Shaggy so sorry to hear the news, but pleased that the diagnosis was made early. There are some fantastic support services for both your sister and importantly for you and your family, please use them! Virtual hugs and positive thoughts from here.

1 day AF for August slept like a log struggled to get up in the morning when the alarm went off - don't know what's got into me (or out of me) presently it's not that I feel unwell I just don't feel well.

Good luck to all in August and here's to some medals at the Olympics!

I must ask, what's your new avatar MissP?

I knew the pig and the rabbit but don't tell me this is one of your chicks?:rotfl:
  • Hello all, 1 AFD to start August off well, and I finished on 11 AFD's FOR JULY.
Sorry to hear about your sister Shaggy. I've got a friend at work having treatment for it at the moment, and I swear her positive attitude is helping every step of the way! Got my first mamogram coming up (a woman of a certain age you see!) and I can't say I'm looking forward to it, but I wouldn't miss it either. Its so much easier to deal with things that are found early on.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a good start to August.

    Morning :hello:

Thanks so much for all the thoughts and good wishes. My sister is in a much better place now and is now being very brave. The prognosis really is as good as it gets for breast cancer, as they caught it so early, so there is much to be positive about.

I notched up another AFD yesterday.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
