I would like to be AF for at least 4 days a week and drink in moderation on the other days.
Giving up comepletely might also be an option.Welcome Third Time Lucky. Would you like to set a target of 16 AFDs (alcohol free days) for August?
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

1 AF day more to add to my July total please. I've never managed to achieve my target yet, but I'm not far off it this month (which is an improvement!) I should have another AFD today which will make a total of 11/14.
My aim for August is not just to have my 20 AFD's but to also control the amount I drink when I do have a drink. Sometimes it slips down so easily that I've drunk too much before I know it! Its that 'Once started Can't stop' syndrome.Debt Free Date: November 20170 -
I am going to declare 5 AFD for July please Shaggy, I won't be drinking today so that's it for me  Not what I had hoped for, way off my target, all I can do is try again for August! So I am going to set a target of 10 for August and work really hard to make it.
I Hope everyone else is doing well, I'm off to read back through the thread

Oh that's so easy cc. I think you are so wise to have the dual aim. There is a tendency to play catch-up on drinking days. Incidentally, I've found that (apart from occasional slip up:o) that as you have more AF days then tolerance drops so it makes it easier to find that stop button. When I ended up hung over after Sunday it was because I stupidly had a single small glass from a second bottle. Generally on a good 'drinking' night I don't quite finish one. Prior to coming on here I was drinking about 1.3 bottles every night of the week.
Just wanted to say :T shaggy, both on your own total of 14 (which is excellent for a holiday month) and for scoring for us.:A0 -
