Morning peeps. Just popping my head around the door to say hi, and tell you all that i am not doing too well at all
Determined to get back on track though, so poured al the wine down the toilet this morning. I felt awfully guilty wasting it, but needs must.0 -

That's drastic, but I suppose whatver works for you. Have a good day cleggie.0 -
Had a few glasses of wine last night. Not as many as some nights, but more than just a couple.
Got guests today, and I have a bottle of champagne chilling, as I've been told they are announcing some big news! :-)
Other than a glass of bubbly, I'm sticking to my gingerbeer as I've got a VERY HARD day ahead of me at work tomorrow.
Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.Debt Free Date: November 20170 -
I dont think the cutting down is working, therefore i think i might just have to give up totally, at least for the short term.0

You have to do whats right for you Cleggie. I find I sort of build up to a big blow out (think Im very similar to our Pricey in that respect), I then calm down for a while. So Im working hard at working out what causes my blow outs. I know Im very hard on myself in all aspects of my life, so am trying to relax my grip a bit. So far, its working.
Blimey, just re-read that and it sounds like gobbledygook! Guess Im saying Im relaxing the reins a bit, which eases the pressure and reduces the need to drink till Im ill!
Still sounds like gobbledygook....hope someone can make sense of that!!:rotfl:

ETA: OH just read the above posts and said what Im trying to say is that I overthink/overanalyse stuff!!! Now THATS what I was trying to say!!!**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0 -
Miss P: I understand completely and I had already decided we are quite similar in our occasional super-blips followed by being well-controlled.
I think we both try to be the best parents/people we can, and sometimes everything gets a bit much because we put ourselves under too much pressure to try to be perfect
I think it's the word 'controlled' which gives things away for me, I live life in a controlled way, always wanting to feel on top of things. I work from home, on a project by project basis, and things feel ok until every so often I get a project which is more difficult - like I have at the moment (I'm working today). This really affects me and I have traced my super-blips to when I have these more difficult projects. It's like a sort of escape from my own inner turmoil, but makes things even worse because then the panic and anxiety set in too. The answer, obviously, is not to take on the more difficult ones - but I can't turn them down because they are better paid and more 'glamorous', and make a change.
Cleggie:I've decided that I should try to be AF for the rest of the month too, again, to get some 'control' into things.
Quite a long post for me, this one, but it really helps me, especially at the moment when I'm feeling anxious about this work.0 -

I poured my last lot of booze down the sink and that was that.
good luck---the key is to not buy any more unless you're sure you want to.
I kept on stopping in the morning but by teatime I was ready again....For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -

It's very hard to admit that you can't do everything perfectly and put yourself under so much pressure that you must either crack or seek refuge. Smile and say no...even if only to yourself and forgive yourself if you're not superhuman!!! Just do your best.
take care all. got to go and do the same.

Yep, we are very similar!!And the word Super-blip certainly sums up my falls from grace occasionally! I certainly try to control my world - and feel quite unsettled when things get a bit "out of control".
Try not to feel to anxious about work - we are always here if you need to vent!:)
