    newbie, oldies :)

MarkMan - congratulations on the giving up smoking, it's so hard to do, but well worth it. I have stopped drinking for over 30 days now, and to 'occupy' my time, I joined myfitnesspal - this has helped me lose weight, without even trying hard tbh. Guess it is something else to focus on, we also call it facebook for fatties:rotfl:

SimIsOnTheUp - again, wow, you have done so well. It's posts like yours that spur us newbies on, so ty

Well, another AF for me - blind determination is making me abstain, but thankfully not been tempted either, surely 40 days are nearly up lol

Hope you all have fantastic sunny weekends, I may even get the bbq out tomorrow :j

    Morning :hello:

I ended up going to the pub last night. I had 2 (large) glasses of wine - probably about 4 units. No alcohol in my flat, so if I stay in, I will probably be AF tonight.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Do you want to join the March challenge? There are 8 days up for grabs. Bearacus will probably run a SNC (school night challenge) next week if you would prefer just to do that.

    Thanks for the welcomes!:D

Shaggy, I think I'll go TF for March - ease into it a bit ;)

Tracy, thanks for the myfitnesspal suggestion. I lost my weight originally when I got a Nike+ and joined the gym - monitoring my performance really spurred my on and I lost 2.5 stone. Thing is that I'm still going to the gym as often (ave. 15 miles a week) but I know its the extra beer calories that really hurting me. If can halve my consumption (at least) the weight will go easily enough.

Well, time to hit the treadmill - can't drink beer while running - I find it just goes everywhere!:rotfl:

Have a good day everyone - its meant to be a sunny one in most places.

Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p
