don't forget to take it for binding as early as you possibly can. i did mine a day before the deadline and the SU was already rammed with the binding queue and had a long wait!
Oh and I recall something about a large left-hand margin for the binding!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It gets worse!!0 -
Hehehe, thanks for the hard working vibes you all sent me, must be working as i got 7 pages done today!!:)

At least i know these days i can stop at 1 glass too!0 -

Hello Rizler
I'm with you on the loss of weight and the gaining of money. I've lost 7lb without trying since I stopped drinking (74 AFDs now), but have definitely gained lots of £s. It was quite an eye-opener to have looked at 2010's budget and seen that, between husband & I, we spent somewhere upwards of £800 on alcohol (I suspect quite some quantity snuck into the 'groceries' budget and so isn't identifiable).
As for people expecting me to indulge, it's not much of an issue these days because going out was the one time when I've managed to abstain over the last few years. And for those who do try to coerce me into drinking I give a very firm (and allegedly slightly scarey) 'I don't want a drink and I'm not going to have one, thank you' type answer together with my trademark glare
Hello everyone else too (special studying vibes going to Cleggie)! I'd feel like a bit of a fraud joining in with the monthly challenge, but I'd really like to get one of those skipping sheep for achieving target!0 -
Evening all!
5 please Shaggy!
Maman - Hamble is lovely - me and OH had a lovely wander roundWe stayed over the water in Warsash - the place was lovely and we are planning to go back in the summer. And Happy Belated Birthday!!!:T
Rizler - welcome to the thread!
MrsR - must be very concerning for you about MrR. I really hope you get through to him soon. I do remember once when Piglet was about 6 months old, I'd just started drinking again after pregnancy, birth etc. He woke in the night and I was just incapable of dealing with him. Luckily my OH was there to step in but it left me feeling very, very ashamed. Lets hope MrR sees the light soon.
Well.....Mums birthday today!:) She loved her present (a rose bush) and adored the cake that Piglet decorated for her (was worth my kitchen being covered in fondant icing and edible glitter!!!:D).
Hope all ok, only had a quick read though. Off to catch up with all goings on.
Miss P

Me again!
Just found out something interesting. For the last year or so, whenever I have a drink I get a blocked, stuffy nose and the sneezes. Its really wierd and its just something I've not really taken much notice of. Until my anniversary....had two glasses of wine before a Jalfrezi curry...and I couldnt taste it my nose was so blocked! Just googled it and it says the sulphites in wine etc can cause a histamine based reaction! Has anyone else had this problem?? (May be just me - I suffer from hay fever from march till september so may be more susceptible:o)
Sorry if Im rambling but was pleased to find its not just me!!:rotfl:

14 days AF please Shaggy - thankyou for score keeping
Have had the worst most horrible emotional day ever. I just don't know what's wrong with me. I felt so good and happy before. Nevermind, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
OH just ignored me and got drunk as usual, he's supposed to be giving up smoking tomorrow (on champix) but I don't think it's going to happen. He was drunk by 7.30pm tonight - I find it quite difficult nowadays....feeling for you Mrs R
Miss P - just had to step out from lurking....to say that I've always suffered with sneezing the day after drinking - it's just terrible, usually lasts until midday (can last the whole day), I think it might be stress for me.... one of the delights I don't have to put up with anymore.
I also have sneezing when I'm pre menstrual and so did my Mum - never read about it anywhere else or found anyone else to have the same. I didn't drink wine though....so it couldn't have been the sulphites for me.
Limadelta - well done you :T you're just doing so brilliantly.
(((Hugs))) to anyone in need...0 -
Morning :hello:
1 more AFD.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
