    10 please, Shaggy, thanks

My 16-year old DD3 just got back from a concert and I could tell she had been drinking. :eek:I just made sure she had some water and that she is in bed. Thank goodness I am AF tonight. :TI'm not saying much about it to her, she's very well behaved overall. :)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Woohoo, my OH has just found out that she's pregnant. No more drink in our house for a good while... better put the saving to one side... we'll need it very soon!!

Hi everyone. I hope you're all ok and having a good weekend. I'm doing great - sun's shining, getting out in the garden more, last night my jeans felt loose so I got on the scales - 5lbs off just through cutting out the daily red wine WOOHOO!!

It's another 8 for me please Shaggy - that should be 15 so far for March.

Interesting stuff from Mrs R, crazymum and others about partners' drinking - my DH drinks far too much. It's every night and has been for years and years and years (just like me till I "met" you guys). The other month when the "have a couple of afds a week" was on tv he did it ONCE but now tells everyone that he ALWAYS has a couple of days a week af. Ostrich man or what? He's overweight, anxious, depressed and sleeps badly but if I try to tell him that all these will improve if he drinks less he says it's women's magazine claptrap!! He says "everyone" drinks like he does but I've noticed he's stopped going to the pub with his mates because he says it's no fun - they just have a couple of pints and he's left drinking on his own.

Hey ho - keep smiling :D

That comment reminded me about a bit in the book that says that drinking alcohol will go the same way as smoking has, it will be the drinkers that will be the minority - hope that makes sense!

    Anyhoo 17AF for me now:j
I went to bingo last night with my Mum, then went to watch a band after - lime and soda all night - what a difference
Watching the drunk dancers was like watching me a few weeks back, made me giggle:rotfl:

4 weeks in total now, my friends are all keeling over in shock

Well, weather rubbish here, so taking Mum to bingo, after doing the 30 day shred

    Happy Sunday x

So I suppose that means anyone who still wants a drink will be outside in the cold knocking a glass back in a few minutes! :rotfl:

Interesting about OHs and drinking. Mine had a couple of AFDs when that publicity came out and then that petered out. I asked him why and he said because it was hard!!! He seems to think I was miraculously born with shedloads of will power!! He drinks between half and a bottle of wine a day and seems very controlled about it all but it seems he can't miss it out. Interesting.
