    Morning :hello:

I ended up going for a drink with a work friend last night and I had 2 glasses of white wine, so I won't make my target for the SNC this week. Back on the wagon tonight.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hi all. I had a glass of wine to celebrate my sons amazing school report last night (yes, proud mum alert). I am so so proud of how well he is doing!

So, i wont complete the SNC and wasn't AF last night.

Off to uni this morning, so will catch up with the thread later on.

    Have a great day everyone!
  • Bearacus (((hugs))) and lots of positive healing vibes being sent to your mum....must be a relief :)

LizzyB hope your Friday appointment is not so terrible after all (positive vibes coming your way too)

Antonic - thankyou for sharing....I like your way of thinking. I also have bloods tests being done tomorrow and shall take on your masterplan of not worrying about things we cannot control :)

Well done Cleggie on bringing up a super boy :T

((Hugs)) to all....and if someone could share some sunshine around it would be much appreciated - oooohhhh the thought of it....hot sunny days :)

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

antonic's post put me in mind of this. I believe it's called the Serenity prayer. Don't want to get heavy and preachy but wise words all the same.

:T to Master Cleggie (and his mum of course;))

    Have a good day all.

    Afternoon all

    7 please Shaggy
3 on the SNC please Bearacus

:Tto Cleggies son! Nothing beats that proud mum feeling!:)

Piglet still very poorly. He was at Mums while I was at work but she said he kept saying he wanted his mummy :(. He's now home and tucked up on the sofa. Cold is really coming out on him now, poor little thing. :(

Still, helps me be AF as there is no way I can deal with a poorly child in the middle of the night if I've had wine!

4 AFD please shaggy and 3 for the snc please bearacus. Fantastic news about your mum bearacus-very happy for you-can remember the relief when my mum finished all her chemo 5 years ago. We call her and my day 'Cocoon' now because they are always on holiday and never seem to age! dh tried to tempt me last night by saying 'Go and get a bottle of wine-you know you fancy it' but due to the fact of both of us being knackered and not being able to face driving three miles to the nearest shop, running the gauntlet of hoodies we didn't bother! hurray for living in the sticks. We don't keep wine in the house because we'd drink it every night-we've had a crate of beers in the front room from Christmas and they don't bother me one slightest bit but a bottle of red in the house calls my name loudly! Hope piglet feels better miss p-it's horrible when they're poorly.
