The Giving Up/ Cutting Down alcohol support thread - number 11

I think the whole of the crew I employ are on a mission to see if they can drive me to drink. I am out of the office for ONE day and the poo has hit the fan with such speed it is covering the entire world. All for the sake of ONE person who CBA doing what they were asked to do.
I am furious with the blighters, it was not complicated, it was not difficult they just had to write and send a few letters TODAY. Not tomorrow, not next week, TODAY.
Must try and calm before tomorrow morning otherwise I will be sacking the lot of them which just means I have to do the whole lot myself.
!!!!!!s, I now have the alcohol cravings like you would not believe, I really want a large glass of wine to slip soothingly down my throat, followed by 6 or 7 of its mates so I can get the rant out of my head.
I wonder what crap excuses they will come up with - little do they realise that death (theirs) is the only acceptable option, and as they were present and incorrect they have just lucked out on that excuse. ARRGH! ONE DAY out of the office and they decided they can't do something they have been doing reliably for the last 2 years.
I resent them driving me to drink so I am going to zumba and balance instead, and hope this will keep the monster from my mind.
Hope you all have a more relaxing evening than I am, or at least less stressfulStart info Dec11

AF yesterday and will be the same tonight so 7 AFD please Shaggy
Thank goodness we've got this place to come to when we feel wobbly or angry or sick so that we can vent instead of falling into a vat of wine - I used to do a lovely little dive headfirst into the stuff on a regular basis until recently.
Crazymum - you've stopped drinking and smoking, of course you're a bit wobbly and teary - you're trying to walk without your previously very reliable crutches. You have to learn what the heck to do with yourself that doesn't involve a ciggie or a drink when someone/something puts you into a tailspin. You will learn to cope - it's just that you didn't realise this would be part of the package and it caught you on the hop. Don't keep your worries to yourself - we of all people know how you feel."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -
Morning :hello:
1 more AFD for me please Bearacus.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
