Sorry to hear about your Gdad Bramble. Even if you've been expecting it, it's still a shock. I expect it doesn't feel quite real yet. Lots of love.

Bramble, so sorry to hear about your grandad, many hugs.
From your postings on here it is obvious that you loved him very much and that he loved you in return.

Lou, don't apologise, we are all here for you, only sorry that I can't make things better for you.

Awww, Bramble. Biggest (((hugs))). Have plenty of puppy snuggles today, they're the best thing when you're so sad.

  • So sorry to hear your sad news Bramble.
Lou, I wish there were something I could say or do to make you feel better. I don't know you well, and don't know anything about your situation, but don't give up fighting...
I did loads of OS stuff yesterday, but so far today have only stretched to a load of washing and some hoovering. I'm going to get the kids to help me get the decorations down and away tomorrow. Have my mum and her DH coming for dinner so will be busty most of the day - no plans for tomorrow night - then back to work next week.
Did a bit of shopping in the sales - stuff for dinner tomorrow and a few gifts to put away for birthdays etc during the year.

Bramble - sincere condolences to you. Not a great time of the year to lose someone either. :(

Well today, I well and truly blitzed the house:-

Stripped our bed, vacuumed the haeadboard and remade the bed.
Vacuumed all the curtains and vallances
Vacuumed the whole of the house
    Two loads of washing done.
Cleaned the bathrooms top to bottom
    Cleaned and sterlised the kitchen
Cleaned all hard floors on my hands and knees
Cleaned all the leather sofa and chairs
Cleaned all the glass in the house
Swiffered and then polished and dusted.
    Watered the plants

Now having a rest and a cup of tea.

Left to do maybe on Monday:-
    Sort out my wardrobes
    Clean brass
    Clean the windows
    Sort paperwork in the study
    Re-pot the orchids
Clean and polish shoes and boots
    Sort the cloakrom out.
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D
