Congratulations - Iwanttogoonholiday, I am sending you and your sparkly new little boy lots of hugs x x

Managed to get NSD #23 yesterday, so that's my final target for this month met :j:j

I'm sure I'll get another one today but not going to set a new target seeing as there is only 2 days of January left.

    Have a great Monday x x

I've been with them a few years and accepted a pretty poor renewal offer after the first 18 months. When the second minimum termm offer ended they offered the same 'carrot', which amounted to a £3.25/month discount for 3 months in return for signing up for another 18 months - and I turned them down which left them pretty speechless and unsure that to do next.

All they've done is continue to call every 6-8 weeks offering the same deal, and I continue to turn it down.... told them that for a saving of under £10 over 18 months I'd prefer to retain the ability to keep my eyes open for a really good deal elsewhere that wouldn't mean having to pay a cancellation fee to them - and they seem to be having major problems grasping the concept of that :rotfl:

Your experience sounds exactly like mine, the last time my contract was up for renewal I was a bit lazy about shopping around and just went ahead and stayed with them.:o
Then they changed the T&C of the billing cycle which meant only 7 days notice before taking DD instead of 15. The reality was/is that they send the email notifiying you that the bill is ready 2 days after the bill date i.e. bill date 8th, email sent 10th DD taken 15th which doesnt leave much time to check and query anything before the money os taken out of your account. I wanted to change my bill date as 15th is not convenient, but no they wouldnt have it and overall their CS are carp ( if you can actually manage to speak to someone)
I'm not mad about $ky either, but the deal was good ( I worked it out this time:o) and as I already have $KY its one bill per month. I also managed to get £50 CB via Quidco - oh yes, Martin, you have taught your children well:money:

Thrilled for you - that's great news!

I love your outfit jinty. Maybe you have started a trend. It will last a lot longer than normal clothes and will mean lots more NSDs :D

The last 2 direct debits for January have gone out of my bank today, which means no NSD for me :(
But it does mean I have the potential for another tomorrow, which would take me to almost double my initial target :)

I currently have £6.25 of my January grocery budget left, and despite having overspent on 8 categories in my Frugal Living accounts I still have £40.04 left of my total monthly budget due to underspends on the other 13 categories.... I think I'm getting back into the swing of NSDs and budgetting this year :T
