  • Well I'm a bit annoyed with myself because I've had two spendy days this weekend. Saturday was always going to be a spend day as it's shopping day but I'd planned nsd for today. Anyway, my friend is a ww leader and offered me a free weigh in if I helped out at her class, so I went along this morning and spent £1.90 on a magazine to try and motivate me.
I only have two days left to reach my 3rd target so I'd better try hard to make sure tomorrow and Tuesday are nsd's.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I always said that there were 2 things in life I couldn't seem to control - money and weight. A couple of years ago I lost 3 stone but when I weighed this morning I was only 3lb short of my original start weight. Grrrr.
But I think I might finally have a hold on the money thing and haven't lost my motivation for that yet. Fingers crossed I can get back into the weightloss mindset.

  • Very pleased as I've reached my target of 18!I don't think I'll manage an extra one tomorrow because of DDs.

Boy am I glad that this month is nearly over.If I wasn't doing the NSD challenge,I think I would have found it a lot harder TBH.I've also managed to keep within my budget.:)

Anyone see the tennis today?I just caught the last hour at work. What a match...shame Nadal lost.

spoon I'd definitely prefer the original Reggie Perrin.I haven't watched the remake,as I didn't want it to spoil watching the original, whenever that is!....hopefully soon!
Hiddenidentity congratulations on getting a job!Do you start soon?

    Have a good evening everyone!

Have been with Talk Talk for years, and my contract ended this month. What they offered me to stay was ridiculous!
I've been with them a few years and accepted a pretty poor renewal offer after the first 18 months. When the second minimum termm offer ended they offered the same 'carrot', which amounted to a £3.25/month discount for 3 months in return for signing up for another 18 months - and I turned them down which left them pretty speechless and unsure that to do next.

All they've done is continue to call every 6-8 weeks offering the same deal, and I continue to turn it down.... told them that for a saving of under £10 over 18 months I'd prefer to retain the ability to keep my eyes open for a really good deal elsewhere that wouldn't mean having to pay a cancellation fee to them - and they seem to be having major problems grasping the concept of that :rotfl:

A no spend weekend for me, so that takes me up to 18 NSDs :T

Had a lovely Italian meal last night (by way of a belated birthday treat) at a restaurant within a couple of mins walk from home. I've never been there before despite having lived in this town for over 10 years and in this house for fast approaching 10 !! Chap seemed impressed with it too :)

Next weekend promises to be 'interesting', as I'm taking him up to meet DD, her OH and my GDs on Saturday - and if they're around we'll be bobbing in to say hello to my parents (and DS2) as well
