Just popping by to say a big welcome to all the newbies joining us this month, it's great to have you on board. Feel free to post and join in with the chat as you wish, don't be shy, we don't bite (well I did get a nasty nip from Hubert the donkey on one of our virtual outings...but that's another story :D) We're all a very friendly if slightly mad bunch (yes Nargle, I do include you in that :p) but we're all very supportive and as Nargle rightly pointed out, we never ever fail on this board, sometimes life just gets in the way of our plans at times but any NSD is pennies in your pocket and out of those pesky cash registers :T

My mum isn't poorly as such--more that I'm keeping an eye open for those little 'issues' that come with having more candles on your birthday cake.

Great to hear from you BMF, we thought the aliens had abducted you. Not sure the issues you alude to are anything to do with more candles on the cake, I'm the 'young' side of 40 and I'm sure i'm having some of those issues already :o :rotfl:

Believe me, after spending all this time with an aging OAP I would defy any scientist to deny senility--or deafness come to that!--ISN'T catching! We sit there sometimes trying to have a conversation, but just keep 'ehh?' & 'wot?'-ing at each other, reminiscent of those two old chaps in the box of the Muppet Show :p
