    OP'd another £200 :)

Have been teasing myself and looking at houses near the coast, a dream of mine to live somewhere quiet by the coast one day. maybe retire there or get their sooner if possible. Saw a four bedroom house in Ilfracombe for just £137k! with gorgeous sea views one side and countryside views the other, looked so lovely. I wish I could just move there now. I know its not very good for jobs and its mostly for retired people or people that can work from home, oh how I wish I could work from home!

So my goal is 5 years to pay off my mortgage, maybe another 5 years to save about £60k and then buy a house outright by then have a business I can work from home doing.
    Sounds feasable right?? :o

About as feasible as me clearing 129k in 4 and a half years then moving to Spain on the proceeds of house sales..........

:j:T:j:T:j:T Yey we both have a cunning plan :j:T:j:T:j:T

Targets are supposed to be stretching but ultimately achievable Pammy, yours is both, so good luck :)

PS lovely house btw, no streetview though so maybe the Clampetts live across the road ;)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Ilfracombe is lovely, we've had a couple of days out there when we've been in the area ~ wonder if they still have that old fashioned carousel on the seafront??

pammy, your plan sounds fab & like gally said, achievable. Good luck with it all, I'm excited for you, I love making plans!! :D

This is the thing about moving away from friends and family. Although my family arent very close the kids wouldnt be near their dad (may be a good thing lol)
I have been googling Ilfracombe and come across some people saying it is full of drunks and druggies! Its like all towns though, we have them here too.
I would just love the lifestyle and the scenery is to die for isnt it? I have been looking at booking a long weekend there, even though I shouldnt really as we have our Skeggy holiday already booked and I know if I did go I would just want to stay!!!

I always have to look at every estate agents window while we are in devon every year, maybe if you go there you should go to the south hams where we stay, its so expensive you will have no temptation to buy!

    Confession time :o

I have been looking into getting a puppy, but I dont do things by halves, I am looking at getting TWO! I am going to get a miniature labradoodle. They just look adorable even as an adult dog. I was going to get a cockapoo but keep changing my mind. The reason for two is so they can have a playmate while I am at work (part time) and they can play together at the park etc. They will cost anything between £500-£800 each not to mention vet fees for jabs and insurance etc.
So I wont be doing any OPs I dont think over the next couple of months, I'll have to see. I am hoping to get them around August as we are away end of July. and the summer will be a good time to get them while the kids are off school.
I have about 4 months to save about £1600.
It will also cost me about £70-£80 a month (if I get two) which is a lot really and will definitely make a difference to my OPs for sure but I cannot rule mine and the kids life on just OPing all the time.
