Sorry if this is a stupid question how do you tweet them I'm only getting 30 points a week its taking forever to get to 500 point!

you should be getting 90 points a week.

30 points for games, you can click on add game for 10 points, the box in the corner, then click refresh, this should add 5 points to your account, do this for all the games.

Then go any game, any recipe, and look for the tweet symbol the white bird on blue background with word tweet next to it. Click on that, that is 50 shillings. You don't have to have a twitter account to tweet.

then print any recipe for 10 shillings.

  • Day 6 of the challenge for me and still on track- just! thanks mostly to another sale on eBay.

Not posted for a couple of days so below are updates since the 5th Jan.
    1. Good sale on eBay £20.94 after fees.
    2. £3 saved re lottery - normally spend a £5 on a Saturday but stuck to plan to buy just 2 lines £2 so saving £3.
    3. Arranged a two month holiday from my Lovefilm account - I hardly ever get time to watch the DVDs I get through - lost count of the number I have sent back unwatched so £5.97 saved there this month and next.
    4. Roadkill £1.01 found by the recycling bins in Sainsburys of all places so nicely recycled in to my pocket.
I registered for the ink cartridge recyclers mentioned on a previous post. It is a bit worrying that they want your bank account details but decided to trust that it wasn't a scam and have ordered some envelopes. Looks like they will pay about £2.60 for the cartidges I use.

    So total to date: £74.79 / £290:j

OMG! About an hour ago I spilt a huge cup of (cold) tea over my laptop and it switched itself off!!!
Panic! My other half ran and got the hairdryer and I grabbed a towel trying to mop the tea up. He took the battery out and I used cold air hoping to save it.

After half an hour of panic... it has finally switched on!!!! After going through the whole re-setting the system and that dreaded blue screen! omg! I was so scared!!!! Ironically I was reading a thread about emergency funds and what emergency emergencys you have had in 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PHEW!!!! I am never drinking around my laptop again! Seriously feeling lucky!!!

Trying to face ebay now... but not sure I have the energy now! lol

Well, got a grand total of 16 ebay listings on the go. Aiming to get another 10 done later today.

Just had the shock of my life when I weighed my old gold to send off to Hatton Garden Metals (thanks again for the recommendation). I thought I would have around 8 grams at the most and my digital scales have it at 20g which will be worth around £240 according to their calculator!! :T

Trying not to get too excited about it as I am sure that my scales may well be out slightly and it probably won't be as much as that - but given that I was expecting about £70 any more than that is a massive bonus! :D

I shudder when I think I actually contemplated throwing it out a few years ago (pre MSE days may I add!). Essentially, it consists of an old 9 ct charm bracelet that is snapped in 2 places with 5 charms on it - the bracelet was a present for my 16th birthday and I have not worn it for over 15 years, a snapped gold necklace, 3 "odd" gold ear-rings and 2 sets of small hoop earrings that were my nana's. I don't have pierced ears so no point keeping lots of nans ear-rings (I have kept one pair though, but have lots of her necklaces and rings that I would never part with).

So, that will be getting sent special delivery tomorrow and we shall see what lands in my bank account. Still not expecting anything.......think they will say nah....it's all tin lol!!! Excited to see what comes of it. Would never in a million years thought to send it off had it not been for this thread. :kisses3:
