Think I'll join you in the warm glow, and I totally agree about the 'going's on' of that smiley!!!

I got paid today and have managed to pay an extra £50 to my CC.
Also, from my purse, I had £1.20 in 20p's for my American holiday fund and 21p for the copper change jar.

Morning, my Very amount is sat there taunting me, its interest free so not no biggie but cant help thinking how much neater my sig will be without it and then i can close the account. Hmmmm, might have to have a jiggle around my finances later.
Brainwashed IS the way forward lol

Hi everyone, As some of you know I am the person who started this thread and I have been away for a really long time. I am so sorry to have left you all but so grateful to you all for keeping the thread going and keeping my idea of making an extra payment a week alive. I realy do appreciate it.

Things for me have been really hard and it has just not been possible for me to be around. I won't go into detail but suffice to say that I hit a rough patch.

Having said that, things are looking a bit better. (Not great but getting there very slowly) I have managed to increase my hours to full time at work which gave me a real boost as I thought I would be increasing our income but unfortunately I have found out that I will now be worse off by about £30 per month because I will have all my tax credits taken away. I have also just had my car tax renewal through plus a letter saying \i've an overpayment on tax credits from last year so this years has been reduced and a further £650 will be claimed back out of future years payments but I won;t actually get any when I go back to work full time so will now have ANOTHER debt to pay back. WHY IS IT SO BLOODY HARD? I want to decrease my debt not increase it.

Anyway I am back on the wagon and looking for as many ways as possible to save and earn in order to get out of this position.

I haven't update my signature and have not made any additional payments this week but will do so as soon as I can and will update. Thanks again for keeping the thread going.
