Welcome to the challenge Jazzypinkpuppet, good to have you on board.
Please pop a tag in your signature that you can fill in each week to show what your additional payment has been. As you can see mine is currently empty as I have only just started this challenge and haven't had chance to pay anything yet. Think I'm going to do mine on the same day every week. Think either Friday or Wednesday. I'm going to go and count all the changein my bedside table and pay into one of my credit cards tomorrow. x
Thanks for joining and good luck. x

Can I join this challenge please! I'm hoping to have some payments to add very soon! :D

85p in my tin today (change from food shop budget)
I am in so much pain i cant tell you, this is my terrible predicament; parents had said they would help with the unexpected cost of my excess from the car accident by lending me the money (other party has 90 days before it'll be settled who's liable. Would be nice to get it back but wont hold my breath) anyhow I scrimped and saved and missed paying a few of my 'budget ahead' items and i managed it without help, but here's the thing, they have now GIVEN me the money anyway and don't want it back, this is on the provisio that me and the little one use it to go away with.

Dont get me wrong, I can see some wouldnt see that as painful at all and i am genuinely grateful but I think this site has brainwashed me and i cant help thinking it would be better spent in the short term on that horrible mess that is called a signature. But as I cant (that wouldnt be fair to either my daughter or the parents) I just wanted to let everyone know that if I could I would be updating today with that amount.

So in other news as i am doing as im told i have managed to get us 3 days/2 nights (with breakfast) in Blackpool. Return train fares. Big tickets (7 attraction admission). One day Pleasure Beach wristbands and all you can eat tickets for £270 using every code//loophole and trick in the book going and I think thats pretty good. Will only have to pay for tram one day, 2 lunches/2 eve meals and a few ice creams. How cool is that!

So enough of my waffle best go get some cleaning done as all this moneysaving has been done at the expense of the housework lol.

Keep up the good work guys.

Made two extra payments - £40 to the CC, and approx £34.43 to the car (I say approx as it's a dollar payment so I think that what it would be if changed into £). It all helps!

    :D
  • I know what you mean about money being better spent elsewhere Betty, but everyone deserves a treat and it's really kind of your parents to do that for you. I think how much you are getting for your money proves how much you have learned already. Enjoy your break Xx

  • Well done Betty Crumble making your money go further for your deserved short break. Enjoy it. As you have found out still can manage your pennies even better.
Son & GF back together...they only fall out over money, she is going to take it on and do their budgeting:j. Will be giving her a lift in the beginning...Printed off the MSE budget sheets for her to make a start on.
Just waiting for pay pal to release DH ebay sales money so can make more payments... I really am wishing my time away this month to hit our target of one less debt..so no extra money so far this week, I will be back when they give us something.
For things to change you have to change

Keep the pennies rolling in peeps
