I missed a week posting but have carried on payments- altogether these have been £55 over the past couple of weeks. Feels good to see to see the credit card balance going down!!

Hi Peeps,
hope we are all doing ok. Managed to get t' ebay money moved for sons gf debt. We heading in the right direction:j.Had a conversation with the bank and they suggested taking out insurance on the account for bits and bobs costing 6.50 a month. this in turn gives a free £300 o/d, so will only for the time be paying interest on £450, this will save £2/4 a month for the time being, then when it gets to the insurance amount will cancel it. sounds like a win win to me:).

Rounded down my bank account and paid off £4.03 to cc this week total looking good to me. Keep going everyone there are some really good payments out there.

No payment this week for me If I round down account it will only be £0.44 and I cant be bothered.

On the upside only need £2 to get my next £20 in £2 coins (other challenge) and that makes an extra payment.

May see if I can "buy" one off anyone at work.

Hey guys

I read many posts but haven't posted too often. Quick background, managed to pay off a Next debt of £1300 over 2/3 months but income has dropped somewhat since.

Trying to tackle a credit card debt of £1900 which has hung like an albatross around my neck for the last few years, gradually creeping up and up. The idea is to pay off any spare cash while still paying out for the usual things i.e. to get it paid off without it killing me.

My favourite is to round down bank account balances i.e. £34.88 take out £30 quid and chuck £4.88 to debt.

So far this week have managed to pay off three amounts of £4.23, £3.96 and £3.66 although Im hoping to pay off larger chunks in the next few weeks.

These small payments really do work! Wondering how quickly I can actually do this!

Hi BodieGirl,

A few of us often round down the bank accounts. I also save £2 then every time I get to £20 I pay it against my own albatross of credit card debt.


As luck has it I got £4 yesterday in £2 coins so will be able to make my next £20 payment this week.
