That's very good of you daisiegg, thank you :rotfl:

I've learnt something tonight, something bad...had chicken curry for evening meal (mostly the veg and sauce) with a naan bread...just looked at the naan packet (AFTER I ate it, I know, I know) and ONE naan is 342 calories!!!
And I thought I was having a low calorie meal :(

    I know isn't it terrible :(

However you can get the lower calorie naans - Sainsbury's have a BGTY one and I think Tesco do too and WW may even have them.

Don't get me started on naans as I used to be able to have the supermarket lower calorie ones and then they all decided to start putting egg/milk in them :( yes I know that is more authentic but I hate it when the change the ingredients on things to stop me being able to eat them! It happens so often!

Oops...rant over....point of this message, you CAN get lower calorie naans than that and they are still really nice :)

Thanks daisiegg, I'll have a look. We have only one supermarket in town (yep, a tescos like every other town!) so I'll look there first, all the other shops are a 20 - 30 minute drive away. I think the one I ate tonight was from aldi...need to do some more label-reading when shopping I think.

    Hi Daisiegg,

Sorry I am a bit late but your photographs are lovely... Just one question, why isn't your beloved wearing a kilt ??? :) I have a thing about kilts... At my daughter's wedding, her husband wore a kilt... I did point out that he wasn't Scottish, but that didn't seem to matter... (It mattered to me at the time !!! )

Anyway, I think you did extremely well considering you had a broken foot... My beloved went from toothache, to backache to headache all in one day...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: They don't know what pain means.... I am wondering whether we ladies should mention our aches and pains more often, rather than just working through it and being stoic.....

So you get your foot seen to... because I dare say that you haven't been able to look after it much as you have been so busy... I bet if it was a man, he would be getting hurled about in a wheelchair or at least crutches...:rotfl::rotfl:

Ahh thank you :) he is not wearing a kilt because the Scottish is on my side of the family, not his :) My family are pretty traditional and would be shocked at a non-Scot in a kilt! :rotfl: however now he is part-Scottish by marriage, we may well get him one in my family tartan :)

Yes....DH has annoyed me a bit...for example, he shouted at me for walking down the stairs and hurting my foot (I should have been resting he said) but that didn't stop him letting me make him a cup of coffee, or asking me to do the dishes :( he can't have it both ways :( boo!

I must have a very warped sense of humour...Mrs CD's advice to go to the walk in centre had me giggling...

Ha ha! Maybe we should re-name it the hobble-in centre!?

    Morning all.

DM got a handyman in this morning - very short notice as last night she noticed a couple of cracks in our living room ceiling and the same in our bathroom. Thankfully the guy who came round said it's nothing major, so the ceiling won't be collapsing in on us! However because it's all white artexed ceiling, it needs to be filled in, painted and re artexed....dread to think how much it's going to cost. :(
So I am relegated to upstairs for the time being because it's a total mess downstairs (we live in a bungalow with a converted attic thats all minnnne!) with dust sheets and other carp all over the floor!

Not much point moving from my snuggly bed, have only been downstairs to fix breakfast so far!

    b - cheese on toast
l - jacket potato w/ small tin baked beans, salad
    d - h/m stirfry portion
snacks - mini pack biscuits, fruit, piece of marble cake :o
