Can I sneek in the at the last minute please. I'm looking to lose 24lbs.
With regards to water, I don't like it straight from the tap, but I put it in bottles and put them in the fridge overnight and it tastes good!0 -

That sounds too much and too quickly. We do it surely and steadily and would only advocate a 1 to 2 lb loss a week - although we know if you are starting out it may be much more.
We also use OS methods so meal planning, cooking from scratch (if time) but perhaps batch cooking. As the name suggests people dont always have the money for gyms or faddy diets but they do have the means to eat healthily and sustainably.
So no trolls please on this friendly and inclusive thread:j:j:j
ETA - chased away a troll but will leave up as a reminder of the ethos of OS Weight Loss xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Hi all,
Well its off we go!
Weighed in this morning, 17st 9lbs:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Thats nearly as heavy as when I was pregnant 2 1/2 years ago.
Didn't really want to anounce my weight, but maybe seeing it on the screen will some how shame me into more effort in this challenge.
Made a pan of homemade soup last night to get me started and also some sugar free jelly for snacking, need to go fruit & veg shopping after work. Need all the help I can get to reach my 21lb goal for the challenge.
Thanks Dragon for organising the list and Good luck to all in the challenge.:T 2015 TARGETS :TWeight loss 12.5/112lb 18th feb -4.5lb, 25th feb -2.5lb, 4th mar -2.5, 11th Mar -3,

This may have been posted on already but I've only just watched all of the Hairy Dieters programme and feel inspired although TBH this is because they had their LBM rather than me. I know I joined this challenge before Christmas and flunked out but prior to that I lost 1½ stone for our cruise in August. I need to get back to this and the meals the HD were making were the same as what MrM makes at home so it's made me feel better knowing I can get back to that. So last night I sat and worked out a meal plan and have shopping list ready. Am off to ASDA soon. Need some new kitchen scales as well.
My daughter has announced that she wants to be vegetarian. Any inspired dishes that I can make for her?Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

weighed myself this morning 13.13 as my starting weight so for the first challenge im aiming for 14lbs overall i am aiming for around 56lbs .You can if you think you can .0

Just weighed myself and I'm not sure my scales are right. I know how much OH weighs and when he gets on our scales it seems to be 4lbs over. In that case it's saying that I've actually lost weight over Christmas which I know is not possible! So I am tentatively going to say that I'm 12 stone 7 lbs but will weight myself on the scales at the gym tomorrow and keep going with what they say from now on!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

I weighed in this morning and have 13st10 as my starting weight. The good news is that [STRIKE]if[/STRIKE] when I lose the 14lb I have set myself for the challenge I will finally be overweight rather than obese
. Moving in the right direction.
