Yesterday was as expected, children's party tea was beige.
Well done sweetpea and coxy and anyone else who has managed to lose last week.
I didn't get around to posting over the weekend, but I lost 1lb.
I've probably put it back on again by now though

I remember watching a TV prog a few years ago - some diet celeb thing, and the 'expert' said to eat a range of colourful food, not beige food, as it hasn't got the vitamins/ nutritional content that the colourful foods have. Funny what sticks in your mind, isn't it?

Apart from showing a lack of inspiration, beige food (particularly pastry) gives me indigestion!

Well, I have thoroughly indulged in the Xmas food but only had a drink on Xmas Day - although I must say that I have been a lot worse with the scoffing in the past.
I'm giving myself today as a nice quiet day watching a movie and eating up a few treats and then its back on the straight and narrow tomorrow. I'll weigh in the morning to assess the damage - not looking forward to that!
Whatever is left over with regards to sweets, chocs etc will go in a carrier bag in the attic in the morning until I start school again and then I'll take some in for the kids to scoff. There is no way I should eat all of the naughties I have in!
I did go for a run on Xmas morning but the weather was so bad yesterday that I only ventured out with the dogs for two 20 min walks. I'll hopefully go for a swim tomorrow if the pool is open.
I've just returned home after being at the parents since Xmas Eve and I really need to go food shopping - there is absolutely no fruit or veg in the house but plenty of "beige" in a carrier bag mum forced me to bring home - wonder if the birds like mince pies??:rotfl:I'll hang on until tomorrow and then go and do a big supermarket shop so I'll have no more excuses.
Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and is looking forward to the "big slim" in the New Year.:)0 -
Right, today is the day to get a grip on eating and exercise. I've just weighed and its not good , although I think some of it is water retention as its hormone time for me and will hopefullly drain away over the next few days.
Either way, I feel swollen and bloated and have definitely overindulged.:o
Before Xmas I'd managed to gain a lb in the run up and it looks like a few more have crept on (water or not) so its time to tackle it before it gets out of hand. Ideally, I'd like to lose another 7lbs - the ones that have stealthily arrived and a few more - I'd then be the lightest I've even been as an adult. But I want to do it properly, like I did before, with sensible food, plenty of exercise and using www.myfitnesspal.com
So, I'm off to the shops this morning to get some nice fruit and veg, will walk the dog on a nice long route and hopefully go swimming (no-one answering the phone there so I'm hoping its not shut).
The Xmas goodies are going in a carrier bag in the attic - sellotaped shut to stop sneaky picking - and will be taken in to school when I'm back.
Ladies - feel free to join the Woofer boot camp! If I wait until after New Year I'll do even more damage:rotfl:0 -
i wish to join in but want to start after the new year have to many goodies in the house at mo. have in increased the dog walking though so that must be helping a bit. poor dog looks tired .

Welcome couldsavemore
our next challenge starts on Sat Jan 5th (I think, someone please correct me if I'm wrong) so plenty of time to get rid of all the Christmas bits and start thinking about some sensible menu's. It's worked for me and many others, otherwise we wouldn't keep coming back - good luck!

Me too please!
I'll go for 7lbs from the weight I was this morning. That may be a little bit of a cheat as some of it (hopefully) may be water retention but I have to have a number to start from.:o
Just back from a brisk 30 mins walk with the dog - turned out the swimming pool was shut today so I did a 5k run instead.
Just trying to think of something yummy to have for tea - been good so far today.0
