Hello again,
I've been thinking about exercise and although I've been doing a zilllion times more than I used to do (which was nothing apart from dogwalking) I don't want to lose momentum and taper off.
So I've come up with a little challenge for myself for the next 7 days - anyone want to join me?
I think setting a goal of 1 hour's worth of cardio exercise (anything from swimming, running, walking briskly, aerobics etc) per day and 15 mins of strength/toning work would be a good challenge.
So here's this week's target.....
Mon - Couch to 5K week 4 run (30mins), minimum of 30 mins brisk dog walking, 15 mins of crunches and triceps work (problem areas for me)
Tues - 50 lengths swimming, 4 mile walk with walking group, 15 mins of crunches and triceps work
Weds - Couch to 5K week 4 run, brisk walking with dogs with friend in a park (min of an hour), 15 mins of crunches and triceps work
Thurs - 50 lengths swimming, minimum of 30 mins brisk dog walking, 15 mins of crunches and triceps work
Fri - 2 hours walking with friend, 15 mins of crunches and triceps work
Sat - Couch to 5K week 5 run, minimum of 30 mins brisk dog walking, 15 mins of crunches and triceps work
Sun - 8 mile walk with walking group, 15 mins of crunches and triceps work, leisurely dog walking
Lets see if I can manage it! Gulp!
PS the dog does get walked for more than 30 mins a day - the other walks are leisurely ambles with plenty of lamp post sniffing (the dog, not me:rotfl:)0 -

Morning all
Not had a great weekend, drunk too much wine and ate a bit too much. Didn't have any takeaways though at least.
I now have the usual Monday morning struggle to get my motivation back  I haven't done a huge lot of exercise either
Anyway, onwards and upwards. I have the week off work so if I can get a sitter i can go to the gym.
Food plan for today is:
2 x burgen toast and marmite
Left over noodles with veg
Salad with battered fish
I will try for either gym or a work out vid.
Have a good day :j- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Morning all!
5 days to weigh in - have to try extra hard this week as its only 2 weeks to my little holiday.
Breakfast will be a Jordans bar (approx 150 cals), dinner will be fajitas with quorn, peppers and onions and no sour cream ( a big sacrifice for me!) and I'm not sure about lunch yet apart from it won't be bread based.
Exercise will be the Couch to 5K run, 15mins belly and bingo wings exercises and some dog walking.
I'm going out tonight but will be driving so will stick to diet coke.
Good luck with the new weeks ladies!0 -

Hello everyone
I was here with you all at the turn of the new year. I had to leave you as I decided to join weightwatchers. It worked very very well and I lost 14lbs in total. I then quit as we really needed that money and low and behold what you predicted happened... I have begun to put the weight back on. I'm now up 7lbs.
I'm going to use my fitness pal again and count calories. I cook meals from my monthly meal plan and store cupboard so every thing I do will be OS based.
I have to say I am embarrassed to show my face again, having done exactly of what many of you predicted I would but I enjoyed it here the last time and felt I really did need the weight loss camaraderie.0 -
Welcome back Fuddle and please dont be embarrassed. As I said we are all fighting our own weight loss battles and know only too well how easy it is to slip back. At least you are tackling it now before the half stone becomes 1 stone and you are back to where you startedI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hello Fuddle!
Good to see you - I've done SW in the past and thought I could do it alone after losing weight only to end up creeping up again.
We've all done it!0 -
WelshWoofer your exercise schedule is amazing, bit beyond me but just wanted to wish you good luck
Hello fuddle  I'm new here but I dont think any of us are in a position to judge so dont be embarrassed. Well done on your loss so far and good luck x

L - meeting friends at the Harvester so will probably be flame grilled meat with salad and plain new potatoes. Diet coke
